Not anti the signing but as an observation, he played for Coventry two seasons ago and went for 20m. Presumably if we're interested it is all based on one season - as otherwise we would have got him from coventry for a pittance. Firstly, one season would have made rashford look like a world beater, but my main point is that it would be interesting to know how clubs try to strike a balance between signing a player for cheap from a much 'smaller' club, and letting the same player develop at a bigger club in the hope that it reduces the risk of him flopping. So many players move to a big club for huge money, not long after moving from a small to medium club for much less. Haaland is another example, but lots of players in portugal too
