Victor Lindelof to Wolves?

I think he deserves a second season.

Or maybe cash in right now? If he can help raise funds for other important players than won't really mind seeing the back of him.
 
Would have no issue with us letting him go on a season loan if we are bringing in Alderweireld. We could reassess the situation next summer and if he's done well could replace one of Smalling, Jones or Rojo.
 
Don’t want this to happen, I think he’s had a shaky 1st season but has a lot of potential. If we’re getting shot of other CBs and letting tuanzebe go back on loan, I think we’d be wise to not do this.
 
Sell cheap enough with the condition they put a equally cheap buyback clause in the contract. Would be my preferred option.
 
Would be nice. What he needs is confidence - this is what made him make so many personal mistakes at the beginning of the season.

Not against selling neither if we get Alderweireld. I see him as the weakest defender in our setup.
 
A loan would be great, he got better as the season went on and showed he's got something.

Selling him after 1 year would be silly.
 
No. One of Smalling and Jones should go before Lindelof. Preferably Jones because he can't keep himself fit. We need to see Lindelof next season to really make a final judgement.
 
I know he was shaky at the start, but I thought he came around well enough. I wouldn't be so quick to dump him. I think he's been getting to grips with the league and has the added benefit of actually always being fit and available. After all we've put up with jones and smalling, there's no way he should not be given a second season.
 
We have Smalling, Jones, Bailly, Rojo and Lindelof and are meant to be after Alderweireld.

We should be getting rid of two.
 
I'd rather we get rid of Jones. We can't sell our only defender who can stay fit for more than 2 matches in a row.

Yeah, we should sell our first choice centre half (Smalling) before considering selling our fourth choice...logical.
 
Loaning him is a good idea. Smalling and Jones are currently our best CBs and Bailly has potential to claim one of those spots.

It doesn't matter imo what choice he is. Both Smalling and Jones have failed to live up to expectations. What choice they are isn't what matters. Smalling is supposed to be in the senior player in the defence. If he's good enough than why are people talking about Alderweireld or another CB?
 
We probably should sell a centre-back if we're bringing in Alderweireld. If that CB is Lindelöf, Mourinho should be expected to answer to the board why we pais £35m for a player only to sell him the following summer; he should be expected to do better in the transfer market this time around.
 
A loan will be good for him. I still want him to have successful career with us. Selling Jones is 1st priority before Lindelof and other CBs
 
If we can get our money back for him, great.
 
I'd rather see him get a second season but I can understand it. Our team has to be 100% on it next season and our CBs individually all have problems. If he has another game like Huddersfield it will be the end of him here, maybe a loan is a good stepping stone.
 
Loaning Lindelof to Wolves would be great for us. Lindelof will get plenty of playing time and exposure in the PL and we get his wages off the books for a year while potentially bringing in Toby.

I would guess from Wolves' perspective they'd want a written in option to buy if they were to take him on loan.

See I don't get the criticsm of Smalling. He's solid, is never outpaced and very rarely beaten one on one in the air. He looks awkward which seems to be the main reason he's not Englands main centre half which is ridiculous. I think the main negative I see of him is that a bad mistake and his head can go, but that's no different for a lot of players in the league - to be honest I think even that is going as he's matured, see the City game in March as an example of that.

If we were to sign Alderweireld or someone I think Jose would probably play them with Smalling.
 
What the feck is wrong with some of you people? Young defender in a new country that has improved as the season has gone on.
Pretty sure some of you would have been calling for us to sell Vidic and Evra in the summer if 06.
 
Send him on loan in Premier league, he will get a regular gametime there if he's good enough, if he's not good enough for Wolves now I highly doubt he will be good enough for us ever, he will be 24 in summer and it is time to get him playing in a proper league, for him to show character and get back ready.. we need to bring a player in though...

If they failed to live up to expectations why are they our first choice CBs and we conceeded 1 more goal than the team with the best defensive record this season?

There are better CBs on the ball. But in terms of actually defending we're in a pretty good position.
 
Given the amount of ramblings on here that Jose should be patient with youth and that he only goes old it's amusing to see so many then want to cash in on a young CB in his first season.

For every Vidic and Evra, there is Buttner and Darmian, not every player has it in him and improves, what the feck is wrong with you, that you are convinced he's new Vidic. I am positive but recent indications look slike he can't win the ball in the air for his life and that's something you suddenly don't get better at, Blind has better stats in it, isn't even better passer than Blind.. and is shaky, prone to make a mistake but that can be worked on.. don't like his lack of physicality either but can be worked on. On last think he seems to be lacking is mentality, he seems to go hide, doesnt look like a leader at all, we dont need players like him or Mkhitaryan but that can hopefully be sorted on a successfull loan too. For me he's got lesser chance to make it than not to make it and with 30 mil spend you expect him to do better I feel. Evra and Vidic were in a region of 5-7 mil iirc.

I say saend him on loan and see, he won't play majority of games for us next season and he needs that..

For me the problem is that I don't think that he was needed in the first place, there is nothing wrong with Fosu-Mensah and Tuanzebe as 4th and 5th CBs.

Edit: In fact I forgot Bailly, so he was even less needed but either way he is probably going nowhere.
