This United team remind me so much of the 90's Liverpool team. Capable of beating and losing to anybody in the league.
And we will go that long winning a small trophy here and there but never dining
At the top table as long as coaches like Ole are given the job

Not sure what you're point is here.

The balls in his court on this, be a leader then, it's not as if we're not paying him enough.

My point is the size of his contract was a mistake if looking at his form and limitations, but given how poor our scouting has been it seems United are just desperate not to lose high profile players. Could they have attracted a replacement as good as him? I’m not sure any more.

If Ole makes it to New Year I will be amazed. Unfortunately he appears unable, for whatever reason, to get good performances against poor opposition. Can see losses to Newcastle, Burnley and Arsenal over the festive season. Problem is when he goes how does the next manager motivate the players in this squad to perform better on a regular basis. The squad is just not good enough and I cannot see us attracting anyone to come to play for us in January.

Could we pay another goalkeeper less than what we're paying De Gea and it not affect the team in a negative way?

Pretty sure it's a resounding yes on that.

Nah, Liverpool under Evans and Houllier were infinitely better than this bunch of feckwits managed by a complete fraud in Ole.

Truth is, Ole will NEVER finish six/seven points off the top like Evans did in '97 or win a treble (albeit a Mickey Mouse one) like Houllier did in '01. Ever.

    You'll be amazed I think.

Atm I really want to sack Ole and sell the heck of DDG ffs. However as this is a really weird team, we'll get at least one decent result in the next matches and that'd be enough for Ole to stay.

Further more I think this season will be pretty much of the same, lot of ups and downs and Ole will stay until CL football next season is impossible to get.

This match just made me really hate this team, fecking disgrace tbh.

    Yes let’s blame Foster
In what part of "Added time is a bloody joke" did I blame Foster for us losing? Try reading the actual post where the point I'm making is "Added time is a bloody joke".

Here it is once more for you just so you can't possibly miss it: "Added time is a bloody joke". Now, tell me where I blamed Foster (or even the added time, beyond calling it a joke) for our loss.

No but you’re focusing on the wrong things. Not for the first time I might add.

Martial's rating is overrated, I only realized he was on the pitch during the last quarter when he moved to the left.

Ole's not going anywhere, he's here to stay. As long as he's got a large portion of th fanbase on his side singing his songs every game, the board don't see his position as an issue

These same fans enabling Ole's work while he's learns on the job, are just happy to see us play youths regardless if they are good enough and are content so long as we turn up for the big games and continuously hear about rebuild fantasies about a better future

What on earth are we playing at in these non top six games,Ole just does not know how to set us up to beat them. Yes I know this mess isn't all his fault but on the pitch stuff has to fall on him and the players.

I am seriously worried about Newcastle now, there is a real possibility of them doing the league double over us. I think Pogba & Greenwood have to start because need to do something different.

Mad to think people were talking about possibly being in the top 4 on xmas day, instead we could well end up 7 pts off.

I thought Newcastle away was bad, this was on a very similar scale. Absolutely horrendous performance.

Think you may be right. Some are calling for a Romero promotion but his very happiness with being a number two says a lot about how he likes his career.

He'll invent another sick family member, shed a tear or two in the Daily Mail, and he'll be back in the starting XI next week trying 1-on-1 lobs when we're scoreless.
Very cynical, he may be a poor player but his family issues are not something to take the p*ss about

I agree, this squad is not good enough to be a United squad. However, from a talent perspective, this squad is not so bad it should be losing to bottom of the table clubs. Mainly, we're seeing a culmination of issues that are a result of many years of poor player recruitment, managerial appointments, and most of all a complacent attitude.

DDG on poor form and being error prone this season.
Long term Injury to our most talented player. May have been enough to turn some of those draws into wins.
Starting players in very bad form. Shaw, Martial, and Lingard.
Starting players that are too inconsistent. Rashford, James, DDG.
Players that need moved on that are still being relied on due to lack of depth. Mata, Matic, Young.
Players that simply have no business being in this squad. Pereira along with several from the above lists.
A manager stubborn with player selection and tactics. Out of his depth?

It's time for Ole to shake things up a bit. Bench DDG. Unpopular opinion but it's time. No player should be immune to it. We're stuck with him now so it's not like he's going to piss off if he's sidelined for a few matches.
Bench Martial and start Greenwood as center forward.
Buy Haaland if his rumored buy out clause it as low as it is. This squad is seriously lacking competition for starting spots and could do a world of good.
The rest I'm afraid may have to wait until the summer but it's apparent we need a LB, CM, RW, and a CF if we don't get one in January.

I don't see Ole being sacked as long as we put in a few wins every now and again, especially against the top teams.

Has got to the point where I am not bothered about wins over the top teams, mainly because you know dropped points to a packed defence are just around the corner.

Ole will still survive in the eyes of the board whilst he has Pogba to bail him out in the non top six games.
