This, in Evras interview he mentioned there were 15 captains in the dressing room at one point. It's not able having some mythical leader, its about having a squad full of self motivated winners and leaders
This. Sick of this current bunch. Most of them are motivated by the wrong things.

Pogba was often described as leader of that French WC winning team, praised for both his discipline and ability to raise morale in dressing room. Surely it's a no-brainer to give captain's armband to our (by far) best player who already had a key role in winning the most prestigious trophy there is? What we actually need is a veteran "tough guy" vice-captain to establish authority and raise his voice when needed, because Paul is too nice for that. I'm thinking Ramos, Chiellini, Godin... Commanding presence and experience should be the priority, not necessarily a long-term addition to our first team plans.

Oh please anyone but Matic, terrible choice. He's not vocal at all, very poor on the ball, slow, just don't see him commanding any respect. He cant even get his own game together how is he going to carry the team forward?
You don't put the armband around the arm of a newcomer and we certainly lack options from the present side. Matic had been a very important player at a team who actually won honours. He's one of our most hardworking players and he's at the right age and in the right position to be made captain. In a year or two time he'll lose the captaincy as we'll find a better DM to replace him with. Thus he might be considered as an interim captain up until we find the right man for the job out of the new signings we'll be making
