Terrible to think I'd prefer a season for the new manager to bed in without any European distractions now we've fecked up top four.

In case anyone didn't watch our last few games, we are done for this season. No more fight in them. This shameless bunch is just happy to collect their exorbitant salary.

We thought we got a gegenpressing coach but end up playing Ole ball. Something is rotten to the core in this club. The way we were humiliated time and time again this season under Ole and also Rangnick, we deserved to be out of Top 4. We need maybe 10 players next season to start all over again.

does the original poster mean 14th? Newcastle and Brentford's recent records are better than ours... we have let in 48 PL goals this season: that's more than City and Liverpool combined and is more than even Burnley

Its so difficult to make a judgement on whether that would be a good or a bad thing. There’s the financial side, which would be negative, and I’d probably add to that the attractiveness of the club to new signings. But equally you look like a team in desperate need of coaching, which takes time away from the pitch, and also it would be easier to reduce the squad if a lot of fringe players knew they’d be unlikely to play at all in a 38 game season

Even the season under Moyes, the team hasn’t looked this bad. Then it was clear that it’s mostly a coaching and tactical issue.

This season, we’ve gone through 2 coaches, and the performance hasn’t picked up. Both have said they want to press, play high octane football. Hasn’t exactly happened with either. Not a large sample size, but the players are the common denominator.

The rot may not have started with this bunch, but the culture right now is absolutely rotten. We need a big clear out and rebuild, much like Sir Alex did when he took over.

Some of you never learn.

A week today our season will be completely done and dusted, facing the dilemma of whether we want Europa/Conference or nothing, our eyes glued to Ten Hag briefs looking for some form of hope for next season.

Maybe early Europa League involvement will at least allow ETH some early games to fully assess his squad and allow extra opportunities for the players to learn how he wants them to play. Might instill a bit of badly needed confidence if we thrash a few minnows as well. (Or provide an early season reality check after playing a few friendlies down under)

That's presumptuous.
Spurs are more likely to get 5th, than us.
Our form is rock bottom and unless Ronaldo puts in a GOAT performance we lose. That's our form.

Spurs will finish 4th. Arsenal 5th. Us 6th and maybe even 7th because WHU aren't that far off.

Anyone think Ten Hag’s announcement will inspire our otherwise lethargic players to give their best in the remaining games? I feel we might see a reaction against Arsenal

You do wonder if one or two will be excited by the idea of ETH and working under him. Yet, they've also known for weeks that he's likely to be the coach and it hasn't happened anyway.

That being said all of our games remaining feel like coin flips tbh. Chelsea and Arsenal aren't convincing and Brighton, Brentford and Palace how knows whether we turn up. We could win all 5. We could lose all 5. We'll probably get 7-8pts out of 15 though.

The opposite imo, they know they are going to be dropped, no reason to try anymore.
