Arsene Wenger has appealed to Arsenal fans not to sing homophobic chants about former defender Ashley Cole.

Gunners' supporters have adapted the words of 'Ten Men Went To Mow' to poke fun at Cole, who forced newspapers to compensate him earlier this year after false suggestions that he had a homosexual relationship with a fellow Premiership footballer.

DOES ANY ONE KNOW THE WORDS TO THIS SONG???

Not very inventive but quite amusing...

"One man went to bed, went to bed with Ashley..." etc.

I don't know if the dog is involved...

Who do you hate more, Cashley or Reyes?

Cuntley's crimes were worse than the pikey's.

He was supposed to be a gooner, born and bred but he fecked us over for cash from the Russian.

cashley - jose's only crime was to be unhappy at the club, which is a common occurrence - I hope he does well at real

I understand why Reyes wanted out, he was a knob in the way he kept saying he wanted out but he didn't say a bad word about us or the club as he left. He just couldn't settle into life in England and like I said I don't appreciate the way he went about getting his move and he is a cnut for doing that but what Cole did was far worse. He turned his back on the club he supported since he was a child over money.

It's pathetic that you've got Wenger coming out to tell the crowd not to take the piss out of cole.

If the fans enjoy it, let them go for it, the funnier the better imo... who gives a shit whether it's true or not. Plus you all think he's a cnut, so fair play.

He is trying to be diplomatic and show a bit of class. Which happens to be the opposite of what Chelsea are doing, they put statements out accusing him of threatening to score own goals while Arsene tries to get the fans to stop nasty chants about Cole.

Yeah fair enough show a bit of class, say he respected him as a player, pity it had to end like this etc

But I don't think trying to silence the fans is meaningful, effective or good for the general atmosphere. I mean, do you want to go to the Emirates and sing about how wonderful Arsenal are all day, or have a laugh about an ex player and a mobile phone... clubs shouldn't get involved in that type of thing

well, Wenger has shown how much he cares about the fans with him mentioning the announcements making it uncomfortable for supporters, so he's entitled to ask for something in return :smirk:

at any rate, Wenger's refusal to slag off Cole has been class, and in a stark contrast to the way chelsea behaved towards Gallas

How the hell is it pathetic?

It's quite admirable if you ask me, and I'm sure most would agree.

Better than Mourinho and 'own goal' Kenyon.

Wenger's been extremely classy about this whole deal.Cashley's a fecking cnut.
