What are the best shirt sponsors for any football clubs?

As we are going from Chevrolet to TeamViewer, from worst to worst, are there any shirt sponsors, for some reasons, you think are the perfect match for a particular football club? I'll give some examples:

Man Utd with Sharp
Juventus with Jeep
Bayern with Opel
Arsenal with O2
Arsenal with Fly Emirates
Real with Fly Emirates
Liverpool with Carlsberg
Liverpool with Standard Chartered
Chelsea with Samsung
City with brother

Opel on the Milan jersey was underrated.
Vodafone on United was also gorgeous.

I think a good sponsor is someone who just has a couple of letters on the jersey, rather than completely disrupting the pattern with a huge bar or logo in a different colour.

Like this Ajax jersey:

On the other hand there were the Postbank sponsored Gladbach jerseys:

You have a club that uses white, black and green as its club colours, but a sponsor who is determined to stick that huge yellow bar on it no matter what.

Not really.

If you got offered a a bit more money to have something contentious it would piss fans off. Would you be happy with "The Weinstein Company" across your chest?

It wouldn't even need to be that bad. "Wetherspoons" or "Sports Direct" would make loads of UK fans mad.

They were declared bankrupt ages ago so not sure they would be able to offer a bit more money.

Use your imagination for an awful sponsor you wouldn't want to be associated with, "Visit North Korea". I dont think Kim Jong Un would be a particularly good choice of sponsor for Man United.

The bold were average at best. They didn’t look bad, but they were not well designed and certainly didn’t improve the kit.

Fly Emirates slips into that bracket too. But they’re saved by their flexibility of colour usage to suit. Feels like they’ve used 20-30 different colours.

Some decent shouts;

Arsenal - JVC
Spurs - Holsten
Chelsea - Coors
PSV - Phillips

Sony was the best on Juve’s kit, surely?

Anyway. It’s kind of strange to have a favourite sponsor. I mean, having an awful logo sucks but if you had a nice logo for a morally bankrupt company, are people saying they would be happy because it looks good?

It seems to me like a fair few teams (Bayern for example) have no issue with representing states that do not necessarily stand for the highest human rights standards. As long as it is legally possible (i.e. not tobacco companies)

Milan - Mediolanum. Three Dutch stars, best team on the planet and that sponsorship.

United and Sharp, just seems right.

For Bayern it is Commodore in the 1980s.

Exactly. Real Madrid's Fly Emirates deal wins the day, followed our (largely despised) Chevy deal! PSG's Accor deal would be third.

I think our new Team Viewer deal ranks fifth, which is pretty decent considering our performance level in the last 10 years (and the pandemic).

Bolton - Reebok just to name one I don't think anyone has yet.

See Commodore got a mention for Bayern, they were Chelsea too, weren't they? Not that bad there either. Muller at Aston Villa by another poster, I liked that one too and also Mita Copiers, that was a bit of a classic.

Sheffield Wednesday - Sanderson
Sheffield United - Laver

Despite knowing the company names I've no idea what either does without Googling. Makes you (well, me) wonder how much it all works. Could say that about a few - CR Smith being another example. What was that one at Everton in the 80s, Hafina? No idea what they did.

Edit: Just though that I don't actually know what AON did and they sponsored us. Maybe I'm un-inquisitive like that but for me I think it only works with companies I already know and it keeps them in mind, or ones that are self explanatory if I don't (Crown paints, Mita copiers etc.) Got an urge to Google AON now, and I could have done by the time I typed this but I'm going to try and resist.

Teamviewer I think I've heard of, going to assume it's that thing where someone can connect remotely to your computer and view/control it from afar across the internet. Probably useful for working on projects with people who aren't physically there with you. Scammers like to use it a lot too, and I know it from watching scambaiters like kitboga and Jim Browning.

Fiorentina with Nintendo for me. Can still see Batistuta, Rui Costa and Edmundo running around with those iconic shirts.
