Not if they don't want out, sadly.

(Also be careful what you wish for, they are greedy and clueless. There's way worse out there).

Protests and pressuring the government to follow through on the fan-led review they promised.

Not much else.

I think realistically the Glazers will sell up when they want to, not because anyone else wants them to.

Having said that, if the fans, players, managers and club staff came together and almost did a "vote of no confidence" type statement it would make their position quite difficult. I think it is extremely unlikely that would happen though.
Its also difficult to imagine how that would come about, and how that kind of unified message could be achieved without the Glazers finding out about it before the message came out. If the Glazers found out that, for example, Ole or Nicky Butt or Darren Fletcher were involved they could sack or threaten to sack them and then 1 major voice is removed.

tldr; its not going to happen unless something incredible happens

When you're talking sums of money in the billions, you're only going to swap one set of cnuts for another. Some United fan isn't going to ride in and save the club.

If you want change, joining a supporter trust is a good start. A full membership in M.U.S.T only costs about 15 quid a year, and the more members they have, the stronger their voice are.

Its even worse when you think that theyre probably mates with the likes of Perez, sitting in a fancy resorts somewhere talking about ESL and how much money they'll make while chomping on food and go "hoo hee hoo hee hoo".

You mean, ''one of their beachfront homes'' or maybe island home? Billionaires don't go to some Butlin's for Billionaires resort. They have their own.

Nothing, really. The only thing that could get them out, or at least wrangle control from them, is adopting of the 50+1 rule. I don't think that's particularly likely, but maybe this debacle has demonstrated to the powers that be that something needs to change if you want to protect the sport.

Not even sure how one can implement that rule without spending years in court. Who will compensate the existing owners? The Gov't using tax payer's money? Then what about the lower league clubs?

This its just political jibberish, a typical BoJo approach to sound good and yet do nothing.

I definitely don't know enough to say how it would be done or if it's even possible, but it's the only thing I can see that (if it's actually possible) could take control of the club away from the Glazers. If that's impossible, or so expensive and/or complex as to render it unfeasible, then the only way the Glazers give up control is through voluntarily selling the club to someone who's willing to give them the amount of money they want for it.

Hire streakers for every Tampa Bay Home game this coming season holding up signs to sell the club.

Glazers are greedy. I would have stuck with the club through the Superleague (UEFA and Fifa are far from admirable organizations), but if MBS is involved with this club I'm out. As much as I dislike some of the journalists who cover football, I don't think I want them executed trying to renew a passport.

Another thought would be if the players just refused to perform.
Falling out of CL or EL completely for multiple years cuts the Glazer's profits.
Getting relegated cuts their profits. Refusing to sign new contracts so they can all leave for free and the Glazers have to fork out money replacing them.

Basically tanking everything so they don't make any money.

Once again this is impossible to imagine happening because players who dream of successful careers would have to throw away years of their careers.

The adoption of the german model where all clubs are 51% fan owned. Something that BoJo has actually brought up himself. ITs BoJo though, so who knows. But if the Glazers couldnt run the club the way they want, I could see them selling up and moving on.

Yup. feck that guy. Ill go watch Marble racing or something if he, or anyone like him, take over. Its bad enough as is with the various contracts with dodgy people like him.

Not just from our perspective. But, honestly, you are trying to go into litigation against an oil state, a Russian oligarch, and 3 American Billionaires. Good luck with that.

yeap. Only way the Glazers are out is that they are in a dire financial situation which I suspect they might be considering their mall assets must be under some distress by now. But who would spend $3-4billion on a club that returns $40-50million a year? Safer buying T-bonds.
So the chances are that any sale of United will be some vanity/trophy project. And then we can talk about the usual suspects.

No one's going to force them to sell. They haven't broken any laws. All this hand wringing over the ownership makes my teeth hurt. If you want them out because you think they're not doing a good job putting a winning team on the field fair enough. But all this BS about club debt and whatever else is just that, BS. Get over it. They have backed the club with transfer money on multiple occasions, granted Woodward and his managers didn't spend it wisely, but money was there. The only failure here, albeit a huge one, was not hiring a proper director for the football side. We could win the treble 10 years in a row and 1/2 of you would still the team sold.

Short answer: one of the things is to laugh at them. That's not a joke. This is deadly serious stuff.

In theory, if normal attendance were in place, something such as a giant banner with Joel Glazer's face and HA HA HA HA HA HA on it being passed along the stands a-la a Mexican wave would go a long, long way towards doing the trick.

Normally I wouldn't post this. And I've refrained from doing so for years and years because technically the Glazers are human beings, too, and it's unethical. This is information that can potentially cause them pain, and that can hence cause them to willfully inflict pain on others. I have not seen enough of the Glazers to exactly know their personality types, but I've posted in the past about having extensive exposure to their 'type' through school and social osmosis. Woodward, on the other hand, talked more than enough to make it very easy to know his personality.

And since Woodward's now/soon gone, I will post this about his personality type:

People of Woodward's personality type (deeply narcissistic) aren't easily rattled by harsher modes of criticism. For example, 'Feck off, Woodward you imbecile/cnut.' 'Woodward sucks' 'Specialist in failure' etc. That stuff does.not.work. Even when said to his/her face.

The reason that doesn't work is that they construct a reality where any critics are simply dumber/less-educated etc and so are essentially easily dismissed as 'plebian rabble' and that they are 'the better person'. This goes ten or even a hundred or thousdand-fold for narcissists in 'positions of power' or those who believe they are in 'an elevated position'. They simply dismiss all criticism: 'this fecking nobody from nowhere is criticizing me, pfft.'. They react with laughter or nonchalance or believe it or not, even pity: 'this poor groundling doesn't realize how low I stoop to even try and engage with him/her. Sigh. The price of being smarter, I suppose'.

What really gets to them is being laughed at. And not just any type of laughter but dismissive laughter. They cannot stand being trivialized, since it clashes so, so much with this constructed reality that they're so much better and even benevolent, deigning to interact with the 'lower classes'.

For example: 'These fecking normies should be perpetually grateful that me, a doctor/PhD/mega-mogul, makes jokes with them and banters and debates and engages with them and occasionally throws them a compliment or two.' Now imagine those normies start laughing at that narcissist's exposed constructs. And not just one or two individuals but en masse. This REALLY rattles them more than it would a normal person, because they are so, so deeply invested in - and reliant on - maintaining that perception of superiority. You've likely seen brutally simplified versions of this in the movies: the big bad guy being laughed at by 'the commoners' and losing it.

But to be effective, that laughter cannot just come from anyone or at any random time: most of the time, these narcissists can't be trivialized since they're running around 'doing important work' or in this case, moving millions and billions of dollars, and they have the support structure. They have usually built up a large chunk of supporters who'll chime in with 'do you even know who you're talking to/laughing at'?

But in the aftermath of incidents like this, they are very vulnerable for the short and mid-term, and depending on how well the laughter is applied, the long term.

Lastly, if you really want to try the laughter angle, again, for the second (third?) time, it can't be stressed enough how important it is to refrain from harsher attacks and to just laugh at them. The former DO NOT WORK due to the aforementioned reasons (these people see themselves as variations on saintly/'above it all'/benevolent and it makes it too easy for them to dismiss you as baser/beneath their station), and can even further galvanize them and their support structure. They often think they are 'the nicest people on earth/''benevolent wolves"/'protectors of the sheep', etc etc.

Again, disclaimer, I have not seen enough of the Glazers' behavior to know their personality type aside from seeing many, many, many like them in school and through running in similar circles as mentioned in other posts.

TL; DR, People like Woodward are really really really really not used to being laughed at. In contrast, they are very very very very used to being called names and insulted directly. 'Normal' people don't get this and often do it backwards. If you're a 'normie' fan wanting to affect the situation, keep this in mind.

EDIT: Also, I think there's something in all the 'Glazers looking to sell' stuff due to things known about their relationship to Woodchip. We as a fanbase might not have to do much at all.

You can do what forced Chelsea to back down today. Blockade the transport. Do not allow games to go ahead. Do not be fooled, if not for that nobody would have pulled out. Once it became clear fans were willing to block streets and keeping the fixture commitments for TV came into question they all backed down.

The only thing that would make them want to get rid is if they knew the stock price will be dropping in next years. I don't think a small group is people can impact that. And it'll always be a small group of people who care and are willing to act. Plus, if they are playing long ball they may not be overly concerned with a temporary drop of stock price. Not much can be done.

Rumours say that PL clubs pulled out because they got more money. So....they again got profit. They are staying in club without question

This is essentially what fans can do (or not attend games). Spend a season prioritising getting the Glazers out not supporting the club and their gone, the hit they’ve taken because of COVID makes them vulnerable.

There has to be either an empty stadium or open revolt week in week out, no green and gold scarves, one off walk outs or protests, no forgetting about it because of a shiny new signing or a good start to the season.
