He was sold because the Sheep offered us a stupid ammount of money.
Think he's playing for Bradford nowadays.

Top player Sharpy was

One of my faves, not one of Fergies though

Heard him say on some Crappy Sunday morning Beeb show that he still has regular contact with Roy keane

Piss up's is what he meant ;)

Injured and fading he went to Howard Wilko's Leeds and then on to Bradford.
He was a great player, its a pity his standards dropped as he would have been a great left back in his later years.

He was an amazing player its tragic that it didnt work out. Even though he went to Leeds i still have a lot of respect for him and am a part tim Bradford fan these days.

From Manchester United, he went on to play for Leeds.

Signed for Bradford City for £200,000.00

Has had short spells on loan at Portsmouth and Sampdoria in between.

With hindsight of what Sharpeys done since he left us, to get the best part of 5 million quid in 1996 for him was pretty good business by Fergie

I know it's not always the most popular reason for a girl to support a team, but I have to admit Sharpey was the main reason I become a United-follower (the fact that my dad once threatened to throw me out of the house when i made a deal with God that I would become a Liverpool fan if only Robbie Fowler could score the winning goal in some England match (a brief dalliance and, suffice to say...he didn't. Twat) was not enough to convince me that United were the way to go). It was during that match when he put 3 past Seaman in a 6-2 victory at Highbury! Oh man I loved him something chronic and I still hold firm to the belief he will someday captain England *ahem* well...maybe :p ;)

Let`s be more honest here about Sharpey. An amazing player who lost his way through wanting to enjoy the good life and be a top footballer. Something had to give and it was Sharpe.

Sir Alex Ferguson sold him and quite rightly. He was hearing from reliable sources of Sharpey`s boozing and fondness for the white nose stuff and spliff and decided there was no future for him. Sharpey went to Leeds and look how little he achieved there as well as at Bradford. Unfortunately he lacked the drive and self-discipline to make the most of his enormous talent.

Other Manchester United players have also been fond of the booze (Keano is one) but they have known when to reign in their bad habits. Lee never learned and look where he is now. A warning maybe to Wes Brown, although Wes` off field habits are better than Lee`s were.

There was a story kicking about a couple of weeks ago that he was gonna go and play in Iceland!

Shame really. Met him once, top bloke.

He played for Pompey as well didn't he?

Lee Sharpe was brought from Torquay and made an immediate impact with Manchester United and England. He was a classy winger with enough charisma to attract the media, and that same media loved him to bits claiming that Sharpey was the next big thing

Unfortunately the next bigger thing was at the doors banging for his wing. His name was Ryan Giggs. It grew obvious for everyone that Lee would have never competed with this 17 year old prodigy, but Lee refused SAF’s advice to start training himself to play in the right and was ready to fight the last strength to keep the left wing tight in his hands.

History is known and a mix of Giggsie’s prodigies and several Lee’s injuries brought Sharpey in the sidelines. Lee wanted a transfer and was sold to Leeds starting a series of unfortunate transfers.

Do you include these posts of yours on resumés that you send to news organisations like reuters or cnn?

Nop Dans unlike many I lived those times.

Dont you know, Manchester United lived long before the treble

Well to confess the truth I really loved Sharpey. He was a genuine talent who would have been remembered as a very good winger if only he wasn’t unfortunate enough of having to compete with a prodigy. The early 90s team had character and charisma but it had also started to become too big headed to stay in the ranks and that had finally brought to its premature destruction. SAF was starting to risk his authority in the team and that was dangerous.

A Scouser’s Maltese Friend of mine (and a very close friend of Houllier, Evans and Pinocchio) used to call us mad for letting Incey go to Inter and for letting him go to Liverpool (when we had his first option) but it didn’t took him much time before understanding that SAF’s controversial move was for our own good.

Soon Incey starting to bully everyone at Anfield, dictating which players Evans had to play, buy and sell. He was in such a ridiculous situation that he started to shout at Evans and ordering the pre matches tactics for him. This was finally stopped when Houllier showed him the door.

Can you imagine the harm Incey would have done at OT?

lol

You are the King of Digression devlish.

Thanks for the confession though ;)
