A lot of good choices so far. I'd like to add Teddy Sheringham to the mix...

My definition of a "Mentality Monster" is someone who keeps his cool and delivers.

Sheringham was the epitome of that on the pitch. In fact, I remember some sort of experiment they did with some high stakes poker games, in which Sheringham was participating, and they measured their heartrates or something of the sort, and Sherignham was basically insanely even keel, no matter the situation or the stakes...

Wow...I really went on a tangent there. Time for another scotch!

Drogba was first to mind for his goal stats in finals (10 total)
2005 Carling Cup final: Liverpool 2 Chelsea 3 (aet)
2007 Carling Cup final: Arsenal 1 Chelsea 2
2007 FA Cup final: Chelsea 1 Manchester United 0
2008 Carling Cup final: Chelsea 1 Tottenham 2
2009 FA Cup final: Chelsea 2 Everton 1
2010 FA Cup final: Chelsea 1 Portsmouth 0
2012 FA Cup final: Chelsea 2 Liverpool 1
2012 Champions League final: Bayern Munich 1 Chelsea 1; Chelsea win 4-3 on penalties
2013 Turkish Super Cup final: Galatasaray 1-0 Fenerbahce

But the one who hasn't been listed.

Roberto Baggio

Inspired Italy to the 1994 World Cup final while pulling his hamstring in the semi (and I think general knee issues before the tournament). Plays in the final on pain killers. Misses that penalty (after Baresi and Massaro both missed theirs). Gets basically vilified in Italy for it and then basically ostracised from the national team for 3 years. Comes back for the qualifiers and makes the 98 squad. 2-1 down in the opening group stage match against Chile, Baggio wins a penalty in the 85' minute (having setup the first goal for Vieri). A match they can't really afford to lose even as it's the first group game. Up steps Baggio to convert the penalty and get a crucial draw for Italy. Can only imagine the levels of pressure in that moment. Not to mention that was a match he probably only starts in because of an injured Del Piero.
(Worth a read if you want to know more http://inbedwithmaradona.com/journal/2017/2/17/pasadena-to-bordeaux-the-redemption-of-roberto-baggio )

He also scored the first penalty in the shootout against France but France went on to win that one

Players that could maintain high level performance for such a long time. Messi, Ronaldo, Maldini, Cafu, Zanetti, Scholes, Iniesta, Modric, Kroos, Schweny, Buffon.

Steven Gerrard was a mentality monster for having the guts to still play football and wear the captain armband after that slip.

Stuart Pearce - that Euro 96 penalty obviously. But also the Basil Boli head butt where he doesn’t go after Boli but instead has the smarts to point at and threat the winger he’s up against instead.

You could name any player from our 98/99 team really. And most players from the 05/06 Chelsea team.
