Last match of the season, being played at Old Trafford and a nice shiny trophy to show off. What could be better - right?

Well let's be honest, it would be better if Chelsea weren't planning to crash straight through us to win the WSL title again and get presented with a shiny trophy of their own at Old Trafford.

We've already rained on the Emma Hayes victory parade once - by beating them 2-1 in the Cup semifinal. Can we do it again and make sure we are the only party in town? Hmm, not really - if Chelsea don't win the WSL then City do. Ok, maybe we just have to focus on being the only party at Old Trafford then.

Match is live on Sky Sports in the UK and free to view on FA Player in some countries.

The weekend's matches:
United v Chelsea (Sky)
Villa v City (BBC)
Leicester v Liverpool
Arsenal v Brighton
Spurs v West Ham
Bristol v Everton

A lot of teams are playing for pride this weekend - including United and Aston Villa. It's also Carla Ward's last match at Villa.

As you say, I think we just need to treat it like a party, with one of those funny celebrity-friendlies thrown in that’s just for laughs and noone takes seriously.

Maybe we could field the original eleven from the debut 12-0 victory over Villa back in the championship? Or how about getting some of the lasses playing amateur level football as Man Utd back in the nineties and up until Glazers shut them down in 2005?

I’d love to see Guerrero given a chance from the start but unfortunately I know better.

I'd like to see her play at all!

I must admit I don't like that we really have very little idea about who's staying and who's going this summer. Our last match of the season and our first trophy. It's a great reason for a party but we'll also be saying goodbye to some of the players.

I get that we don't want to spoil the party vibe, but if it's not that and we really are still negotiating our whatever that's really disturbing. Even in terms of spoiling the party vibe I have my doubts. The regulars will end up looking at who's looking sad, who's alone, who waved for too long or not long enough. I dunno really. It's a funny one.

I agree. It was actually somewhat the same yesterday with the men’s game.

The difference probably being that we’re still trying to negotiate, if anyone is actually responsible for it, with some of the female players whereas the higher ups know who are leaving from the men’s team.

I want us to win, and win well, obviously. We deserve to finally beat Hayes in a league match, and I'd obviously rather finish 4th than 5th. I'm pretty sure that could mean and extra few quid for the transfer kitty.

I do have a spare ticket for this (Stretford End) if anyone wants one for free.

25 000 ish in attendance?
I don't think we're going to be breaking any records - let's put it that way.

It's a funny match really. It's hard to see it as the end of the season football climax given that the odds are that we finish fifth in the League whether we win or lose. Last week's final was the season climax.

It would be great if it felt like the end of the season trophy parade and a bit of a celebration of the story so far - but the mood around the men's team kind of undermines things for a lot of casual fans (or potential fans) of the women's team. Plus the local matchgoers will be attending their third game in 7 days.

I went to Wembley with friends. I'll go to this one with family. I'm hoping for a party and a good performance from us.

Trophies on display will now include the player awards. The WFA Cup of course, but also the U16 and U21 trophies.

What really annoys me is people buying tickets and not going to the game. 6000 dropped off for the villa game at OT.
Days at Wembley will help to grow the fan base.

According to Andy Mitten we’ve sold over 30k. Hope it’s a good weather and we might get to 35k which is a decent crowd.

Chelsea fans should be traveling in busloads to Old Trafford today as all they need to do is win to pretty get the title? Should be 2000-3000 Chelsea fans if they have any serious fans :D

Cmon ladies. You don't want City to be winning the title. Gifting us 6 goals would be the right thing to do.

Considering we don’t have 11 sober players to field, you might get your wish.

Almost three. This will get ugly. We are not ready to play at all. Kind of feared this after the cup win.

Yet a good business model would have seen the crowd at Wembley last weekend and seen the potential to build on it.

The potential is there but it takes time to build. We’ve been around for only six years. Getting to the CL would be huge. But we’re not getting there without proper investment in the squad. Not sure the owners are ready to do that.

Think the Europe setup is a bit rubbish to be honest, surely to expand the game they either need to let more teams into the CL or have another competition like the EL running alongside it.
