Thought you'd be impressed. Why don't you ask them to send the statue of liberty for being a bunch of ungrates ;)

I didn't see a forum on that site.......

Pity.......

I've noticed (on the Reagan site) that the right wing American fraternity don't bother to even reply once you post some pertinent questions...

http://www.ronaldreagan.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=000375

I'd love to have seen a forum on that FranceStinks site because only a modicum of intelligence is required to make these neanderthals look stupid... ...

This site attacks France... I attack Bush or American politics. I don't put everyone in the same bag. I don't forget Michaël Moore, Scott Ritter, Dustin Hoffman, Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee...etc...

To be fair I haven't bothered to read that stuff. The title is enough for me. I've just have a look at the main page. If they believe they will change French people's mind like that...On the contrary...Why do they bother BTW ? They don't care about other people's opinion. You just have to agree with them. If you don't, you can be given to the dogs...

You criticize them, but you seem to take a great pleasure to post that kind of stuff.

I have a cousin who works in New-York. Things must be hard for her at the moment. I'll ask her.

, you take everything negative about France so seriously Elfie, that site is probably made by some 10 year old loony alternatively some yank menthal patient.

You french are fairly touchy when it comes to your country, remember when I had to drive 100 kms in a taxi there to Le Toquet and I asked the driver what he thought about having to stop every 10 minutes to pay money for using the roads. How bloody unexpected that I got a 30 minute lecture of why this french road system is the best in the world and how shite the roads in England are (he couldn't hear the difference in the accent, usually start of with pointing out that I'm Finnish though to get better service. The English and Yanks aren't very popular..).

Can see the similar thing here with you and the critisism posted against your country.

I don't represent all the French (I must have only about 25% of real French blood in my veins anyway ). I've shown the article of the Sun to some friends and they think it's digusting but they wouldn't lose their time arguing about Iraq on an English forum, and they are right.

Concerning humour, this stuff is spread in many papers and media, and you can't reduce that to "humour". It's more about "propaganda"

BTW a French singer, Renaud, was recalling the other day how he did an humoristic song against Thatcher, called Miss Maggie, during the eighties. And an English singer reacted with a stupid record against the French who invented the bidet etc... So the English can lack humour too.

The part I like most of all in these sites is the reference to "real American family values..." yeah teaching your kids to hate, and to go to war...

I wouldn't laud Spike Lee for one Elfie. If you knew some of the things he stands for...

The Yanks would be funny if they weren't so pathetic.

I think the French are taking this all very well actually: they're doing what any European would do under a barage of childish abuse: stick your nose up and ignore the inferior illiterates.

Would be damn funny though if they'd ask the Statue of Liberty back.

Would love to see the reactions to that

Lighten up. I'm posting stuff that's getting passed around, maybe I should suppress it. yes I enjoy posting it, it's funny the lengths people go to.

We are actually being quite nice on here about the French with the stereotype jokes about not bathing regulary. Which a lot of people don't.

However you are soi damn insular. I bet we all have stories about when we visit there and we walk into the shops in towns and they all stare at you and start talking in French laughing etc. Then being fecking rude when you try your crap French on them.

Or what about when the French burn truck loads of English sheep, refuse to eat beef. What about that racial slur whent the bill was passed banning English words. Not using foreign words but English.

We could go on with lots of stories from our many trips to France on here if we really wanted to be maen to you so just chill out!

But the French have similar stories about the English too. And so what ? When I think I always defend you (my stepfather and one of my friends don't like the English). It's funny because I'm seen as an "anglophile..." Still, no one here tries to boycott American products like do the Americans because of the Irakian situation.

These stories about the French not bathing everyday are so stupid. All the people I know well, friends or family, bathe everyday.

As for foreign words , it has nothing to do with "racial slur". The English language dominates because of the domination of the Americans. Every new thing has an English name, why not give a French name ? We don't want our language to die (although it's a fatality at long term), it's normal, you would have the same reaction if the French language dominated.

As for beef, it was because you had more deads with the mad cow than us, we thought our deads had eaten beef coming from England. It was just about protecting people.
