Hughes

Kanchelskis
Beckham

the first 3 are probably influenced by my childhood, especially Hughes. I’d be practicing volleys everyday and became quite good at them

Being one of the older posters creates more of a problem for me. Because instinctively I would have watched Charlton, Law and Best and would definitely include them.
But I would also want to include Robson and that would only leave one more.

So because of my age, I have included 8 players. The Manchester United trinity:
Charlton
Law
Best
Plus 5:
Keane
Schmeichel
Ronaldo
Cantina
Scholes.

Based off how I liked them, not how I rated them.

RvP, Vidic, Berbatov, Cristiano & Scholes

Dig up stupid!
Keano, Eric, Scholes, Giggs, Sharpe*

Way out of place in this list but was my first boyhood favourite, all my kits had his name and number on, loved watching Sharpey

Cantona - no explanation needed.
Stam - Haaland in centre back form. Like somebody maxed out the FM stats.
RVN - he knew he could finish anything.
Scholes - always a step ahead of everybody else.
Vidic - monster who always put it on the line.

Bryan Robson - my hero when I was growing up
Roy Keane - warrior!
Lee Sharpe - not quite sure why, he just seemed so cool and had some amazing moments
Jesper Olsen - bit of an odd choice and he wasn't even that good, I just liked his style
Eric Cantona - an icon

I'll resist the temptation to mention 5 donkeys or leeches (all clubs have had them) and give ones I was jealous that you had

Robson

Keane, Scholes, Beckham, Ronaldo, Robson.

In no particular order. Thought that would be more difficult than it was but what those five gave the club in terms of success and entertainment was outstanding.

Honourable mentions to Eric who should be in everybody’s list, Schmeichel, Giggs and Rio.

1) Rooney. World class player and proven winner. Still annoyed how underated he was and still is. Especially among United fans. Deserves far more love than he gets.
2) Andy Cole. Complete striker. Rare breed these days.
3) Roy Keane. THE captain. And only our ex player who became decent pundit.
Those 3 are way, way above the rest. If i must pick 4th and 5th then it would be between Dave, Evra, Irwin, RVP and Rio. Lets say;

4) Dave.
5) Rio.

George Best, Denis Irwin, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane. Vidic, maybe. Toss up between five or six for last place.

What is wrong with you?
Beckham couldn't wait to get out the door to Real Madrid and had signed out long before he left, his later performances for United were poor in comparison to him running himself into the ground for England.
He was rightly benched for the run-in on his final season with us with Solksjaer taking his place on the right midfield.

Rooney handed in high profile transfer requests that rocked the club when it all could have been settled behind closed doors, in fact we wouldn't have been any worse if we let him go in 2013 as he held us back for the next four years.
