I think you need to put a * next to Mendieta. he didn't want to go to Lazio in the first place. He wanted to move to Barca but obviously Valencia didn't want to seel him to one of their biggest rivals. However, mendieta was fairly outspoken at the time about wanting to leave and made it pretty impossible for him to stay at Valencia. hence he had to accept the move to Lazio. At the time there were rumours that Valencia insisted that there be a clause that Lazio not sell him to Barca for at least 12 months. But as we all know he is there on loan now. Maybe that is a way of getting around it and then the permanent transfer will be completed at the end of this season.

I think there are some parallels in Mendieta's and Veron's cases, in that I believe they both accepted a move they weren't 100% keen on. hence their below par performances for the respective clubs.

Say what you like about me, ive been supporting Utd since i was a nipper and i dont turn hot and cold on players.
If we win anything this season i will be pissed off if i see you celebrating it, you dont deserve it.

Labelling Javi Moreno a failure is a little harsh when you consider he hardly plays for them. I thought it was a strange move at the time. He should have moved to a bighger Spanish club rather than go to Milan I thought.

If your a Utd fan you dont slag off your own players, Itchy slags em off more than the abus here do.
If he is a Man Utd fan he must be miserable.

No, it's called being realistic and objective about assessing players

Which you don't seem to be able to do at all since every player we have is a "great"

Name the players in our squad that you dont think are great.
We allready know that you carefully analysed last the defence all thhough last season and came to a non knee jerk reaction that the whole defence should be culled.
I dont mind you criticising players, everyone does that. Laughing at their misfortune is another thing, especially when its obvious to everyone you dont know a football from a horses langer.
I presume you laughed at Andy Cole when he first cme to us and i hope you did the decent thing and not celebrate any of his goals later.

I already did the naming players bit several times before so no need for me to repeat it.

Perhaps you being such a football expert might want to enlighten me on what a good player is all about - accept the fact that we have some players at OT who shouldn't be there instead of giving me all this "I know more footie than you" poppy-cock talk.

You pressumed wrong - Coley had a decent goal return even in the early stages of his career with us and whacked five past Ipswich not too long after he came onboard.

, ehhh, injuries (shin splints) kept him out for a long time and his form was poor. In autumn 98 their was serious talk of him going to the likes of Everton. I was allways fond of Andy Cole, he got as much stick as Forlan especially in his first yr or two and i was doubly delighted when it worked out for him.
I didnt mind ppl criticising him, and i dont mind ppl criticising Forlan along as its fair. I do mind ppl ridiculing him and laughing when he gets subbed etc. If you were at OT would you laugh at him if he ws subbed? If not it would be hipocritical.

"Laughing is a celebration of the good, and it's also how we deal with the bad. Laughing, like crying, is a good way of eliminating toxins from the body. Since the mind and body are connected, you use an amazing amount of muscles when you laugh."
Gerry Fielka, Venice Beach, California

I mean making fun of players when they get subbed, like when Forlan got subbed at the w/e.
Show him a bit of respect.

cos Ive seen em over ten times at the Arena hence I can make that judgement...

He undoubtedly has bags of technique and skill but he simply isnt a goalscorer and will never be imo. he wastes far too many chances and gives the ball away far too much.
he's a most annoying player......

Zlatan may or may not have an attitude problem, but he would not be a fourth striker. He's way too good for that.

I hate critising but I am realistic enough to distinguish between flash and trash

When Cole came at OT he came with an injury, and yet, despite his poor form, he did scored some goals

Forlan have already beaten the 20 game barrier and had only scored 1 goal (from penalty)

Comparing Cole and Forlan is like comparing, a good striker with Stuart Little ( with respect to all mice)

Are'nt U afraid that the so called REAL Fans will now label you a a'Fairweather' fan or something like that for saying the fecking Truth about the Pretty Boy or the new Gary Birtles? ;)
Good Fans should not critisize at all, we should like all the players the same no matter how the feck they are playing like.

real fan me arse.
I hate when our so called own fans enjoy insulting our own players. For arguments sake lets say hes useless, i still wouldnt call him "pretty boy" or "the new gary birtles". An ABU would, sums it all up really.
If you are prepared to slag a player here in a mere internet forum then we have to believe that you would slag him if you were at OT, if not it would be extremely hipocritical.

I just wish that u ever reply before U have few rounds. Anyway, I have to say a good thing about a player that IMO screwd us so bad in many ways.
1- 7.5 mils that could have been spent on something better (Admit that the boy is not worth 250k now)
2- He made Mgmt go on thinking that we actually have a third striker that we could rely on and look what happend.
3- He came to us because we paid more and we are not supposed to hold this against him .
4- He is USELESS and I can not understand why poeple are defending him as he is not a 'thro. the ranks youngester' or a player who is simply in bad form on a temp basis because we do not know if that is all what he could do.
Now if scores thirty goals or a last second goal for a win against the Arses or livershit, I will not hate him more, but he would still be a bad buy, It is not becasue he is not scoring that I do not like him, it is because I do not see anything from him that justify paying 3 pennys for, let alone 7.5 F**n mils. <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />
Now could U tell me why do U think he is that good, or even above average?to get U to defend him or stopping us from attacking him

1) 7.5 million could be spent in a lot of poor ways aswell. Just ask Aston Villa and Stan Collymore. As with Veron the proce means fuch all, it didnt come out of your or my pocket.
2) Yep, i read the report about how he held a gun to Fergies head and made him repeat the words "you can rely on me", shocking stuff.
3) How can you blamb him for his transfer fee? Do you really hate hit? If so you should never celebrate a victory of a team that hes involve din.
4) Ppl support him because hes going through a difficult period, hes not the first striker to struggle on arrival at OT. In fact, over the last 30 yrs or so the only strikers to come to OT and click immediately are Yorke, Cantona & Mclair.

Did you hear the crowds support for him last night? They're encouraging him and praying that he does well, why? Because hes a Man Utd player!
If he scores 30 goals a season you will not hate him? Why not, are you a sunshine boy, just supporting certain players when they do well? Hed still be a bad buy if he got 30 goals
<img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

Im not saying hes Marco Van Basten, thats not the point. Say for arguements sake he is useless you could still show him a bit of respect.
As i say to all of the slaggers of our players, if you do indeed hate him, never, ever celebrate a team performance or triumph that he has been part of, if you cant support the players, you cant support the team, simple.
