Yohann Cabaye

Pardew's kidding himself there, isn't he? Whom out of his squad of players would seriously interest Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City to make a bid? I think his best player is probably Tim Krul anyway

How the feck did he not get booked today? The amount of late tackles and kicks on our players, especially Carrick was shocking. Should have ended up red carded with Tiote. Van Persie didn't hit the cnut hard enough.

He always leaves his foot in. Decent player though.

Horrible cynical cnut who seems to get away with about 20 fouls before he is booked. He also looks like a smug little prick. Good player, though.

I think that's a bit far. He does foul a lot. I imagine 90% of his bookings are for persistent fouling. He did it against England in the Euros against England and it really pissed me off. But isn't it more the ref's fault for not booking him rather than Cabaye's fouling? Is Scholes really any better?

But he is a fantastic footballer. They've got a good balance with him and Tiote in midfield.

Scholes can't tackle, end of, he makes ridiculous challenges. Cabaye is cynical. Even when he was eventually booked today, he went down holding his head trying to blame Rose. There is something extremely dislikable about him.

He is a good player and Newcastle probably won't be able to hold onto him for too much longer.

To be honest I think a lot of the time Scholes is quite cynical.

6 yellow cards last season and just 1 this doesn't make him a dirty player.

Scholes may be a poor tackler, but there's undoubtedly a lot of cynicism in him as well when he goes in for them.

If Cabaye is a horribly cynical player then it'd mean football is in a much better state than I thought.Extremely harsh judgement on a player when you consider the butchers present all over the PL

The first tackle - which gave the freekick that lead to 0-1 was a poor tackle
The second tackle which gave him a yellow (orange) - was an ugly tackle
The third which should have seen him get a red (where he kicked someone down from behind) - was a cynical tackle.

In other words - Scholesy had them all yesterday

Tbf, we miss that kind of player who could make 20(7-8 is the real number, without exaggeration) fouls before getting yellow card.
Fletcher used to do that(remember Wenger), now we don't have player who make 2 or 3 fouls through the game, nevermind 7-8.

Just doing a-bit of research there; Cabaye has apparently conceaded 19 fouls in the league this season, whilst Tiote has conceaded 18. Says it all really. Dirty cnut.

 A foul every 32 mins  Shock horror!

Would be perfect for our midfield right now tbh

On Lolz. Point was that he is worse than Tiote. Your point was utter shit.

How the feck is he worse than Tiote when he's only been booked twice and has commited a foul once every 32 mins?

 First he was a dirty cnut then you say his record is not horrendous and he's quite cynical.

Your posts are utter shit.

Because clearly Tiote is a good yard stick when it comes to dirty players. He is a cynical cnut and gets away with more than he should (Cabaye that is).

Oh noes, are they shit?

3 fouls a game is a lot but it doesn't say that a player is dirty.

Hardly a lot in 90 mins of football for a player who sees so much of the ball.

Don't go down the over reacting road the boy Robbie has. ;)

3 fouls per game for a central midfielder is nothing, since when football turned into a ballet?

:wenger: You really are a shit researcher.Tiote played less games and minutes than Cabaye and almost has the same number of fouls never mind the yellow cards and red ones.

He's very cycnical and sly with his fouls which gets under the skin of opposition fans. Nothing wrong at all with that though.

I'd rather someone commiting intelligent fouls than someone charging around like a nob head conceeding loads of needless ones (Cattermole).

I know it doesn't seem like that many but I read a list of players with most commited fouls which included the likes of Tiote, Fellaini, Parker and Adam and the average for most was around 2.5 fouls per game. It says nothing about the player with numbers so low, one bad referee and the stat goes up by 0.5 at this stage of season.

I watch Tiote every week and I'd be amazed if he was in single figures for fouls during a game. But then it's his job to tackle so he's bound to run the risk of fouling more.

He was around 2.7 fouls per game mark last season. For the entire United team the average was less than 10 fouls a game last season if I read correct stats, for Newcastle it might've been higher but not by much. That's the thing with these stats, you think 45 minutes is a lot and when you see a foul now and then, you think they happen every 2-3 minutes for each team when in reality a football game doesn't have that many fouls in it.
