 Some of you guys are hilarious. Good run out today, looked a wee bit lethargic at times but it was good to see the element of youth being pushed forward.

It's pre-season you Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.
He's right though. You don't finish pre-season and go "Oh boy! Time to defend now!". Pre-Season is to find out where players are after a break. And the defense has been poor.

Football, bloody hell.
I was in the newbies for pretty much all of last season. I had hoped/expected that the reactions in the mains might not be so hysterical.

Yes but it takes time to come to full fitness and we are playing against a team who are halfway through their domestic season and playing in conditions that are not ideal if you aren't up to full fitness.

Stop being a Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime then. You must be a miserable person
I reciprocated your abuse. Why do you continue? It's fine if you disagree, that's your opinion. Just stop being abusive?

Sometimes you wonder how on earth some posters up here got promoted. There's surely a few posters in the newbies that would represent these forums a lot better than some of the Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime up here.

Some people are total arseholes. Forums are for debate. If you can't debate without losing your head every time you disagree with someone, you really shouldn't be on one.

And you are surely one of those "representing" this forum in a fantastic way throwing around insults.
The 2012 brigade really is a bit strange

They honestly can't take any criticism of any part of Manchester United without "You're a cnut" etc.

Well you take it a bit too far at times for my liking as well. But you are right, disagreeing should be possible without calling each other Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime

I am not a man........I am Cantona
Our center backs were poor. They clearly need more fitness work
In that regard this match was probably better than the majority of preseason games we play.

Starting 11 average age was 23. Add in the travel and a team midway through their season and the result is understandable imo. We were poor in parts but so much of it is clearly down to the other factors I mentioned.

Does losing matches in Asia such as these simply not undermine the whole purpose of these Far Eastern tours?

Chelsea go there and look better than us then sell ten million more shirts.

Surely we would be better off just looking shit in Scotland or Ireland.

People don't wait for the match to end before buying shirts. If they wanted to buy one, they would irrespective of the result. Anyway, The shirt sales would go towards nike and the club won't get anything out of it. The whole purpose of the tour is to gain match fitness and that is exactly what is happening. Along with it, young players who would not usually get many opportunities during the regular season get some experience as well.

There's a reason why they arrange matches in different parts of the world and it is to increase the global fan base. Ireland and Scotland already have many fans because of their close proximity whereas Asia is a huge market which is still untapped. Because of such tours the club gains market value, Players get experience and match fitness. And the sponsors and fans are also happy. It's more than just a win win situation.

This thread has just turned into one massive bitchfest. It's a fecking horrendous type of humidity to play in. I was in NY a week ago in similar temperature and lower humidity, and that was pretty hard to adjust to throughout my stay. Playing 30-90 minutes in those sort of conditions is tricky, and although I'm not using this as an excuse that we lost because we deserved it, it is hard for any person to play in, even super fit athletes.

That said, our defense were pretty poor today, perhaps buying Garay wouldn't be the worst decision after all? Him and Vidic together could be very effective.

My wit's end
I thought our biggest failing was with the midfield often being slow to push out after the defence cleared the ball. It's something we've been guilty of for a few years and it'll take time (and better fitness levels than you'll find in preseason) to turn that around.

Also, was Madwinger the match camera director?

They must be avoided like the plague. Not only them, United forum too after everytime we'll suffer a lose/draw or we don't play fancy enough the place will be a bit shit.
