I expected more, actually thouht it was a weak pilot, from a plot point of view.
Well produced and they obviously have money to throw at it, so it will hopefully improve with it's storyline.
As for the Coulson aspect, a line of dialogue between the Doctor and Maria Hill alludes to something I read after the avengers movie that relates to Coulson's ressurection.

Somewhere between a rock and a hard place.
It definitely has my interest. There's still mystery around Coulson's resurrection and this Centipede thing that can give powers seems like a good plot.

The villain lady is the undercover cop from Prison Break

Bit crap.

Not even as good as the first episode of Fringe.

Got round to watching it last night... it was okay - the budget's obviously there and it held my interest, though I couldn't help feel that it was all a bit too smug/self-satisfied.

There was pretty much zero character build for anyone bar maybe 2 or 3 people, which I thought was odd, as Whedon loves his characters and his big casts, hopefully we'll get more in the next few episodes - because right now they're all just (pretty) faces.

It's better than Dollhouse at least.

Watchable enough

Skye is
Yes... yes she is.

Bit crap.

Not even as good as the first episode of Fringe.
I thought the first episode of Fringe was awful... i'd definitely put this above that

Thought it was "ok" but they could have done a little more with the pilot.

Then again, I suppose we always knew it was going to be more about the gadgets/special effects then a great story.

Watched the first episode last week. I liked Coulson in the movies but he is probably better bouncing off the lead characters rather than being on himself.

The other main male character already annoys me but heck it's from Whedon so I will continue watching it.

I would LOVE it if they introduced Nick Fury in like a finale episode, but I doubt that would happen.

GET IN!!! He completely made the entire episode for me!

Watched the second one, felt it wasn't as good as the first, but I now have a pretty good idea of these characters now: I gave a lot of them the BoD, because it was a pilot, and characters sometimes aren't developed much in one. But I just don't feel most of them have an edge or an interesting aspect about them. Ward and May (the two action type ones) are almost too perfect in the sense that they are exactly what an agent would be: Unfunny, with fighting as their only interesting aspect. I also generally just don't like the actors. The two geeks portray the British badly I feel, in that we all don't sound like that (The girl is actually from Sheffield, who don't sound anything like that but obviously wouldn't use a Sheffield accent) and they just aren't funny when they try to be. Even to an extent Coulson is trying too hard to be the main character, and I sometimes feel he isn't powerful enough to deliver a long or interesting dialogue with other characters, much like in this episode. The reason so many people enjoyed him in the Avengers films is because of his quirky one liners. That said, his little dialogue at the end was timed perfectly in my eyes. Which leaves me to the one reason (along with Coulson) I shall be continuing to watch this: Skye. What a slamming hottie, and not only that but she is genuinely an interesting, as well as in my opinion the best actor of the bunch.

Hopefully the characters develop more and actually keep me interested, but so far they haven't intrigued me much

^ Agree with most of that, but I enjoyed this one more than the first episode. I just don't like any of the characters apart from Coulson.

Lots of problems but still watchable for now. Will continue to give it a go since I haven't got much else to watch.

This one had more action, which I enjoyed, and the plane is frickin cool. But the last one concentrated more on the characters themselves which I thought would develop more, but they didn't much this episode. They kind of jumped into it as if they are a super team now, which clearly wouldn't be the case.

Whedon is behind this, so I have a lot of faith in it still.

I really want to enjoy this but so far I am not liking it, The actors are not that good and the special scene in this weeks episode definitely looked like an after thought to please fans, I will stick with it and hope it picks up

It's ok. With better actors I think I'd like this more. At the moment Coulson & Skye are the only interesting characters, the others currently lack personalities for me to care about them.

I can't believe anyone thought this might be decent.

"But it's made by the same guys who did Buffy The Vampire Slayer!"

Exactly. It's made by Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime for the benefit of even mongier Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.

I'm sticking with it. No doubt all you TV buffs will hate it yet continue to watch and write long reviews about how much you hate it.

Buffy was great, cider is rubbish.

I've just watched the first episode. The acting is shite. It's got a bit of a Power Rangers vibe to it (non-existent danger with every character trying desperately to prove how cool they are). It'll get cancelled by Christmas I reckon.

This seems to still be in pilot mode, the ending tried to add a little intrigue ,but i can't see it surviving.

I actually really enjoyed that episode, and I've warmed to the chracters more too. Even though Gravitanium wasn't the most exciting thing to fight about, the story line was quite interesting in my opinion. For some reason the main guy seemed a lot more believable and interesting, and the geeks were more bearable as well, but I reckon it's because they didn't show them as much, and they weren't being squealy and childish. Still don't like that Asian woman, all she can do is act hard and miserable, boring.

And Skye, providing the best moment I have seen in tv for many a year: the wet jiggly boobs scene. God I love that woman.

I didn't like it all the way through, but came away with a positive impression. This was consisting until I realised it's because of next weeks preview.

At least it has a big budget and Joss Whedon? It could improve.

Characters are OK, but I found the writing a bit wanting. Also, for an apparently big-budget show, I didn't quite find high production value. I was sort of bored with the 'world' they created.

ABC ordered a full season now, though, so hopefully it'll start picking up some steam.

Yeah, much better this time round. They need to move away from almost every character being a sarcastic so and so constantly trying to say something smarter than everyone else though.

This does happen an awful lot now you mention it, and I do think it is something that lets the writing down badly. I still think they could have found much better actors than these ones.
