Seriously, he's been fantastic with both De Gea and Lindegaard this season. I think we'd be doing very well to improve on a goalkeeping coach of his ilk.

Get rid of everyone linked to Moyes in my opinion. Scrap it and start again.

Like I said about Steele last season, if you're good at your job then you should keep it. Yes, Woods should continue working with De Gea.
He's been good, and it can't help either of our keepers to have 3 goalkeeping coaches in the space of 3 years. I'd definitely keep him if possible.
Both of them seem a lot more commanding of their area than they did last season. It would be one hell of a coincidence for it not to be down to him in one form or another.
Presumably any incoming manager will have a staff that they prefer to work with but he certainly seems to have the best results of the current crop of coaches.

A new manager brings in his staff with him, right? I mean this is what everyone was told when we criticized Round and Lumsden replacing SAF's men.

He's been fine. Though Steele did brilliantly too. I think de gea would've turned into a top keeper whatever the case, but he should stay as he's doing his job properly. Moyes, round, lumsden on the other hand should go.
I'm guessing Woods will want to join Moyes at whatever his next job is.
The only one who seems worthy to stay here in the backroom staff. His efforts have shown on the pitch more than anyone else.
He's done his job, and so deserves to keep it.
This is not an issue of double standards, you do what's best for the club. Anyway it depends mostly on however will be the new coach.
I think he'll stay. I've heard in the meeting to decide his future Woods would give Woodwood wood.
If Woods wants to stay then sure. Obviously depends on the new manager but Woods hasn't been an issue though he may leave out of a sense of loyalty to Moyes.
Yeah exactly. I mean credit where it's due, Woods obviously did a good job. But we shouldn't expect that the new manager will keep him just like we didn't expect Moyes to keep Steele who learned Spanish to help De Gea.

Doubt he will stay but I would like him too. He's done a good job, De Gea has improved a lot on crosses this season & Lindegaard did well when he played.

Personally I would want to get rid off everything that can remind us about Moyes, but of course it is a decision that should be taken from the new manager. We also should not forget that he can decide to go with Moyes, with whom he had a partnership before.

Woods continued the good work by making De Gea better on the air, but I think that the progress on De Gea from first to second season was way much bigger than from second to third season here.

DdG has made visible improvements in the time he has worked with Woods. That must have something to do with Woods. As long as the new manager is OK with it, definatly keep him.
Down to the new manager but if he's good enough then it's be stupid just to sack him because of his link to Moyes.

Although managers bring in new coaching staff, I don't think they all have a preferred goalkeeping coach. I'm sure theres a chance he's kept on.
All depends on who particular the new manager is about his staff. I don't think it's an issue though. I reckon most GK coaches at top half clubs would have a field day with DDG.
Wasn't there speculation after the appointment of Moyes that he was particularly loyal to Woods and Steele would thus go? If so then that might work both ways 
I would rather have Eric Steele back, he did so much to develop De Gea, and got rid of his big problem issues in that first season. Failing that, Woods seems like a good man to keep. No option for both?
I'd leave it up to De Gea. As it's a unique position, effectively a personal coach for 2 or 3 players in your squad, it's surely best that your Number 1 keeper gets to choose who he is comfortable with and who he thinks is best for his development.
Well, it was argued that Moyes was foolish to break up a well functioning coaching setup when he joined. Why repeat that again with Woods? Keep him when he's doing an excellent job.
I'm not too worried either way, tbh. Losing Steele seemed a bit risky last summer, but it's turned out just fine. Goaleeping coaches are important, but I think with a keeper of De Gea's quality the fine margins aren't going to matter too much. Presumably if we were to replace Moyes with a quality manager they'd have the sense not to bring in someone shit.
De Gea has been tipped for the top by everyone who has ever worked for him. Even Ballague said he would become the best keeper in the world when he signed for us.
This is the logical progression for De Gea and there is little way of telling if Woods has had a defining influence on him. I more lean to us seeing De Gea improve no matter who was coaching him this season.

Do managers usually bring their own goalkeeping coaches with them? You'd think the first choice keeper would have a say in this.
He should go. There are other goalkeeping coaches out there with more experience. Plus, I remember that our old GK coach learned Spanish just to help De Gea. If that's not dedication I don't know what is.

He is better in air than last season, I don't think that this is even debatable. However, he was showing improvements on the air last season too, though I don't know if the success can be atributed to Woods, or it is simply a young player improving aspects of his game.
I don't think it particularly matters. DDG is a top keeper because of himself, not the coaches.
