Got in after being in the queue for a few minutes. Everything I wanted was gone.

Did you refresh a few times? There was nothing going for England-Uruguay, as expected, but Italy-Uruguay kept changing status. It would show availability but not put it in the basket (gone), then a different category would become available, kept chasing it around for ten minutes until I got two.

Now, how the feck do I get to Natal? I have accommodation there with a friend, but it took me less time to get there from Lisbon than it would from Montevideo.

Yeah, Brazil vs. Mexico and Cameroon vs. Brazil kept coming up as red but whenever I tried to add them to my cart I would get a "temporarily sold out" message. Looks like I'll have to resort to buying it off a tout.

Sorted the whole thing out now, got tickets for the England game via some contacts at travel agents. Montevideo-SP-Natal-Montevideo + 9 nights + tickets, all for ~2K GBP. Not bad all in all.

It's all 0s right now. Don't think it was the wheelchair one, although I was toying with that idea earlier looking for my tickets. Apparently it also applies to "obese", and no, it's not specified that you have to be so obese that you need a wheelchair.

I'm sure I can be medically obese by June. I probably am already.

I was thinking that too, but I noticed the system realizes you already have regular tickets for other matches and doesn't let you proceed with the disability tickets.

The app hasn't been released to the public but basically it finds the tickets you want and adds them to your cart automatically. Here's the thread about it:

The whole process is a farce as you'd expect from FIFA. Loads of ticket resellers in Europe and the US have tickets, so it looks like loads have just gone to profiteers rather than fans.

Don't know about any availabilities. The whole system is just corrupt with resellers and people using bots and stuff like that to lock their tickets.

Just happened for the fifth time right about now. They release tickets that payment didn't proceed or such every five minutes. So you suddenly get an adrenaline rush, start clicking everywhere and then you are told it's fecking sold out. cnuting verification screen, what the feck is that for? You have to physically click on it, type in caps and then click on the OK button. No shortcuts, no enter, learnt one problem in each attempt and this last one I got a typo. My head is about to explode, that's how angry I am.

A tonne, hotels are ridiculously expensive. It's like all hotel owners in Brazil want to live it large for the next couple of years on the proceeds from a few weeks. I suppose that will extend to pretty much everything. I'm lucky I have somewhere to crash in SP and Natal, otherwise I wouldn't do it TBH. I'll put it this way: going to Russia will probably cost as much (flying from Uruguay), and I've never been there so it would make more sense to sell a kidney for that.

No, I didn't mean 1K when I said a tonne. If you are fine having cheap street food and stuff and crash with your mate it shouldn't be too bad. Go to hotels or restaurants and it will get very expensive very quickly. I'm not sure there's such a thing as a cheap hostel in Brazil in June, not available in any case. Before getting confirmation I could stay with a friend close to Natal the cheapest one star shithole I could find was still about 120 quid a night. It already looked like a dump on the photos, imagine how much worse it is!

I would take a commercial outfit like Viagogo more seriously than FIFA. When have FIFA been honest about their attempts to make tickets accessible, the process fair, get rid of scammers... In the only way they want rid of resellers is to get rid of those not giving them a cut.

I did have a few concerns since its 8 total tickets and we are talking thousands.. The guy appears to be legit, he sent me the fifa confirmations showing he was awarded the tickets, then he sent me the confirmation a couple days ago showing that his tickets had been shipped..

But our names will not be on the tickets.. is this going to be a problem? We want to be belive it wont be a problem.. but just wondering since its a huge step for me and my friends and we are stoked. Just dont want to be disappointed at the end. Worst case scenario, we slide the guy at the gate in brazila few bucks? hah.

I did have a few concerns since its 8 total tickets and we are talking thousands.. The guy appears to be legit, he sent me the fifa confirmations showing he was awarded the tickets, then he sent me the confirmation a couple days ago showing that his tickets had been shipped..

Got both ours through the random allocation phases. Some good games you got and getting some knockout games is excellent, must have refreshed like crazy when the first come first serve stuff happened.
