Holland are young and hungry, chasing everything out there and fully deserve their win here

Can't wait for LVG to come to United

Don't have much sympathy for Casillas. Has always come across as self-entitled.

I thought RVP would flop in this tournament as i didn't think the Dutch team were that good, but if other teams make it as easy as that for him he will have a great chance at getting top scorer.

I never thought Casillas was a great keeper, and have had a few debates on here with other posters who hold otherwise. He was very good at his peak, but never great.

He shouldn't be starting for the Spanish side.

If DDG had made that mistake the camera would just be fixed on him for the next 10 minutes talking about how error prone he is.

Couldn't have happened to a better team.

Time for Spain to have a revamp. No excuse for Xavi, Alonso and Cassilas still to be starting when you have world class younger options ready to make their mark. Wouldn't be surprised to see a very different Spain lineup from here on out. What a game this is though, love LVG already!

Van Gaal as our new manager. RvP scoring for fun.

Lads, I'm genuinely excited for next year. We might not win the league, but we're going to play some great football methinks.

What's the rule on tied for points in the group stages - is it goal difference or head to head?

Is this a tactical masterclass by van Gaal? Or are Spain just shit?
I don't even think it's a tactical masterclass really, he just seems to have Holland playing well and positively, with a belief that they can convincingly win games like this. Considering their play in the 2010 final and how they did in 2012 they've really surprised me tonight.

can't believe a team with a midfield of de jong, guzman and a sneijder that is past his prime is thrashing spain

United fans should be very excited by Van Gaal.

Tactical masterclass, he is a better tactician than Fergie.
