I hope Germany win but I've got a funny feeling Brazil will manage to scrape through again. Germany have been decent without being incredible so far.

Not been impressed be either side but hopefully Germany knock Brazil. Neymar and Silva being out will be quality. Sick og the biased ref decisions for them.

I'd be really confident going up against any team from the other side of the bracket, but Brazil I'm less sure about. At least we have not conceded from set pieces so far, which should remove the greatest part of Brazil's threat and basically all of it if Neymar is out with an injury.

Germany will not cope with Brazil's pace and athleticism. Not sure they will cope with atmosphere, either.

Ozil must be dropped. He will be an absolute liability on the defensive end.

Hope the Germans twat them. Overall they're better in pretty much every part of the pitch, let's just hope the refs influence doesn't make a big difference like it has in getting brazil this far.

Brazil will probably edge past Germany and go on to win the whole thing without being convincing.

I'm tearing up at the thought of Fred and Jo becoming world champions.

This game should've been the final to be honest.

Brazil haven't scored from open play in 3 matches and Germany looked pretty handy at set plays so far. If Neymar is out I struggle to see where Brazil's goals are gonna come from. 1-0 to Germany

If anyone could knock out Brazil in Brazil it is Germany.

Germany just need to be calm and control the possession of the game. They need to win for the sake of football.
I trust that the Germans won't be drawn into the silly fouling that Brazil want to break the game up, they are far too clever for that.

Germany will surely focus a lot of their play around getting at Dante as they know his game inside out.

Could there be a more prestigious classic in world football, especially at this tournament?

clearly, no. Sad that this is not the final.

Hope Germany don't stink up the place and win by playing entertaining football. I don't want to go through watching a repeat of today's performance against France again.

Then again, as a honorary Oranje fan, I think Holland would have a better chance of beating Brazil than they would Germany so I wouldn't mind too much seeing Brazil go to the final only for them to fall on their arse against Holland at the last hurdle.

Germany will easily win this, huge loss for brazil that thiago silva is suspended .Without him their defence would be an absolute joke. And also neymar,if he was really injured and not play acting and happens to miss the game then it will be.too easy for the germans.

Not really a classic though, is it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's only the second time we will meet Brazil in a competitive match. Final vs Holland, that will be the classic.

Scolari's selection of strikers for this WC has been abysmal. The Diego Costa issue aside, don't Brazil have any good strikers anymore ?

For me personally it is. The only world cup final from Germany i've ever witnessed was vs Brazil. And they have been the by far best nationalteam in my childhood. So for me personally, this is at least the most prestigious match up in world football. And a game between 2 of the most successful nationalteams in history surely has to be a classic, hasn't it?

Sad that a lot of world class players like Reus, Gündogan, Silva and maybe even Neymar (but i doubt it) will miss it.

Since the Serbia match in World Cup 2010 Germany has only lost 2 competitive matches and only drew in 2. Losses against Spain and Italy. Draws against Sweden and Ghana.

I had the Germans down to win the whole thing before Reus got injured but I wrote them off after that. I really hope they prove me wrong and smash that horrible Brazil side.

Brazil hasn't lost a competitive match at home since 1975 .

Also said Germany would win it from the very start, and didn't even change that opinion when Reus got injured...

I really want to be wrong though, come on the Dutch!

Another thing... if the semi's do end up as Holland vs. Argentina as well as this Brazil vs. Germany game... well it doesn't get much more prestigious than that at a World Cup (without wanting to piss of any Italians...)
