How did he do ok? Inability to complete a pass..no touch, vision, technique, skill....lazy and constant fouling.
In my opinion, he was terrible. The one thing he is decent at is winning a few balls in the air with his head or chest. All he did today was foul or stand offside, and when he did win an odd header he headed it to nobody. Twice I think he headed it straight out of play with no teammate within 20 yards of the ball.
I agree with that wholeheartedly. If gives tired players and easy way out by giving them a reason to hoof the ball forward instead of trying to create something. It would be an ok idea if Fellaini was actually doing something constructive with those long balls.

They didn't improve when he was taken off. For the first 5 minutes after Chadli came on, Belgium barely got a kick of the ball. Hazard was terrible, but bringing him off was not the solution. He could have taken off Fellaini and put Hazard up front, and bring another wide player on. Anyone but Chadli. Chadli on his best day is still not as good as Hazard on his worst.

Personal opinion: very down to earth Guy that has always been very popular for his attitude. He has a good grip on his players abilities and the way a game evolves. But I have seen this team make absolutely no improving its game speed and effectiveness. Style of play Should be changed with or without Wilmots!

See for all the abuse Belgian players get, am I the only one continually drawn to how bad Palacio is? Jumps for headers and loses out, his second touch is always a tackle, instead of sliing the ball to Messi to waste time at the end he blasts the ball out the stadium
