Probably a loan because we can't afford to pay that much for now and he doesn't want to tie himself down here in case we don't get back into the Champions League. Still Brilliant though! To the Vidal thread!
We can definitely still afford it. It's a loan deal because of his injury issues, most likely, and as you said, maybe he doesn't want to commit either.

Your right, just seen it on the news bar. The presenter definitely said £ though.
Not your mistake mate. Its ridiculous the number of times this summer, the Brit media has converted euros to pounds by just switching the symbol

Twitter is on fire that this is a done deal, but I haven't seen anything reported from a regular news source.

Incredible deal true. RvP just isn't right and needs whatever he needs to get right.

So, can someone explain why the hell Monaco are happy to loan out the best #9 in the world?
They must be really struggling with FFP is all I can think of. £15 million loan fee or thereabouts, and his wages off the books.

Renting him for the year makes a lot of sense. He has a lot to prove coming back from injury as well.

They sold James for big, big money. I doubt FFP is a concern.

I dont think he is worried about the CL he has managed to make sure he avoids it for the past 4 seasons.

That also means we will continue with 3-5-2. With Rooney, van Persie and Falcao you have to play with 2 strikers.
Maybe a diamond in midfield, weird

De Gea
Rafael-Jones-Rojo-Shaw
Blind
Herrera-Di Maria
Mata
Falcao-Rooney

A complete new team.

Erm, ok then, seems a bit random. Guess RvP's injury must be bad and LvG's expecting him our for a season or something, in which case this makes sense. But then it also worries me that he's intending on using 2 strikers still, so that means the 5-3-2 is here to stay for the season?

Great signing.

Wow, now we are talking. Hopefully get all our players back after international break. Drop RvP to the bench. Falcao in, Qpr could be in trouble!

I just hope LvG reverts to 433 and plays Jones/Smalling and Rojo with Rafael and Shaw at full back.

Wait, does anyone think, and I've not put the pieces together, that Madrid is kind of behind this.

So, we loan Falcao now. Madrid feel that they don't need him this season so have brought in Hernandez as a back-up. They 'let' us have him for the season, see how he recovers, and then they'll bid for him next summer, at a somewhat lower fee.

Falcao! I hope this means no more donkey touch Rooney up front. I love how reliable Balague has become!

Someone in Manchester please make sure he gets in the right car, I fear Shitty will be having a cameo van waiting to kidnap him when he lands.

We should also remember Arsenal are probably our main rivals for the top four. We've just pinched a signing that would almost certainly get them that spot. Worth £20m to keep Arsenal reliant on Giroud?
This is key I think.
