So, 1-1 with Chelsea, 0-1 against City and now 2-1 over Arsenal? Not bad at all, considering the problems we have in the back.

BTW, we have conceded 3 goals in the last 4 matches... isn't that good in the current situation?

just back now, was in the Clock end amongst furious Gunners fans!

Couldn't cheer, but I've adopted a very skilful "perturbed yet secretly loving it" expression.

Had a few ugly moments after Giroud scored..thank goodness that wasn't even earlier

It's kind of funny, if Wilshere was sent off as he should have been, he wouldn't have been injured. Not often you pay a bigger price by not getting a red card.
I would not have sent him off for that. Fellaini was being a dick as well. Both should have got yellow.

Great result. My motm is Smalling with De Gea in close second. As for my performance, I promise it will only get better.

Took a bit of luck and several great saves by De Gea to get the result but 3 points is 3 points. Too many balls given away by poor passing or hoofing the ball. Why can't this group keep possession? I think Wilson should start over RVP next game but we know that won't happen.

I'm only just watching it now as I was in work.

How the hell didn't we lose? Our defence being as horrible as it is kept gifting them chance after chance in the opening 20.

A rare good shift from Ashley young, more and more impressed by Fellaini every week, great show my Rooney and di Maria second half, Tony V put in a good game too, - i think Wilshere should really have been sent off but not like it would've impacted the game too much, De Gea is a god and without him we would be in serious trouble, i would put him underneath Neuer and only Neuer. People are saying 'well he didn't have to make any good saves' you may be right but arsenal had 8 or more attempts at goal and he stood firm, and he does it week in week out, you can't expect even the best keepers to keep out everything though, Girouds goal was special

The angle is a bit deceptive but yes he's offside.

Is it true we didn't have a shot on target until the 85th minute? I don't believe that.
That's why it makes it an amusing match (or a dreadful one before). So at the 60th minute : 0 shot on target, 1 goal, then at the 85th minute, 1 and 2. That's so efficient. Or an hold-up. I was a bit sad that Fellaini added an useless shot on target in the last minutes.

Now, what are they waiting for to announce De Gear's new contract ?

I was right with my predictions about our results since the Leicester match.....i go for a win at the Emirates

Of course to stop Sanchez will be difficult but i just feel this match will be our Juventus 1-4 Bayern Munich match (Turning point in Van Gaal's career at Bayern Munich after a bad start)

    3-2 away win (Welbeck & Sanchez - 2xRooney & Di Maria)
I predict now only wins for us in the next weeks

The result is brilliant of course but Christ, that opening 20-30 minutes was some of the most painful United viewing in a long time.

We need to build on this as a result and totally forget the performance specially at the first half, we need to improve.

The longest 8 minutes for a while. And why the hell did Fellaini take that long desperate shot with just seconds to go. It would have been an assists assist to an OG if Arsenal had levelled from that counter attack.

The good: De Gea, McNair, Smalling, Rooney.
First away win and fourth at the moment!
It would have done good to Di Maria to score from the 1-on-1 with the keeper. And my FPL points.
No Welbeck goal, damn you Danny.

It was a good goal but DDG should have had it covered the big guy Courtois is better although DDG is also top drawer so no complaints.

How bad is his injury? Would've missed 3 games if he got sent off

Yeah I agree that first 30 was reminiscent of the City game we got pummelled (but this was Arsenal doing it to us). My mates were citing the injuries but it got me thinking if everyone was fit who would step into the team and make an improvement? Rafael/Valencia Rojo/McNair Blind/Carrick Falcao/RVP? Obviously Blacket drops out but is that much more of an improvement in any those other positions? Mata and Herrera were both fit and not selected.

Doesn't matter what Fellaini was doing, headbutting(even shit ones like Wilsheres butt/shove) are 100% against the rules and definite red cards.
Does it count as a headbutt if your head doesn't touch the other? Not sure there is a rule that covers the Aggressive Nuzzle.

Thought Carrick was the key. He is still maybe our best player even if he don't have the legs and we lack that overall. I still probably think our best midfield due is Carrick and Jones for the defensive ability they have and support of our defense.

Good to see Rooney finally in some form although those runs he makes much fewer now. He has really declined from world class, but at least he seem to score his chances now. Persie though should be dropped and sold as fast as possible.

A typical performance from us against a big team, completely dominate the first 30 minutes, don't take our chances, let the opposition score then leave ourselves vunerable to the counter attack and completely lose our shape.

It's happened far too often that I can't say we were unlucky . Fantastic result for you guys considering the team you had out, thought you showed some character. Depressing season and it's only November.

I remember adopting that LOOK many years ago when a game at OT was screened live at Highbury and only the North Bank was open (it was the one when they scored a scrappy own goal to give us a win)

I've gone the last 4 seasons now off a Gooner at work's membership. It's the only way I'm realistically going to get to the game, but it is an odd feeling not being able to celebrate!

Got a freebie for my other lot Wycombe at Oxford the other week for the wrong end from one of the Oxford player's wives I know, and that was even harder to stay calm!
Wycombe were 2-1 up, and Oxford missed a 94th min pen!!
That was my own money saving tightwaddery rather than it being the only way into the game...but still!

Didn't know Arsenal still did this. worth knowing for the game at OT later in season: just cant afford train and ticket at the moment; costs about £80. The season I did it, you could just pay at turnstile at HIGHBURY

not quite understanding how you're meaning, linking what I did to the game at Old Trafford?

But yeah guy at work pays something like £100 a season for a membership, and it gives the ability to buy a ticket to any game. So less risk than just buying a season ticket and making sure you sack it off for games you can't do, but still the same ability to buy what you want. Not a bad situation.

I think I read in the programme that they give 7 "Free" cup credits into the season ticket price, champs league and fa cup games...

if that's true, then perhaps what seem outrageous season ticket prices aren't at all.

as if we had those 7 games, we'd have to buy them under the auto cup scheme, but we don't quote it in our season ticket figures.

Misunderstood you. I thought you went top the Emirates to see the game beamed live from OT. Brain still fuzzy from shock of winning an away game :smirk:

    no worries.
I couldn't imagine going to a ground, to watch a game on a screen. That seems fairly pointless to me.

Only one I might have considered was when my Wycombe boys got to the FA cup semi finals in 2001. The quarter final was away at Leicester, on a 3pm Saturday, so wasn't on tv. We only got 3,000 tickets, so they beamed it back at Adams Park.

I was at the game though, wasn't gonna miss it!

to be fair I've "estimated", as he has 4 memberships as well, so not 100% sure how it all works!

But ours, One united is £32 a season isn't it?
And ours doesn't guarantee you the big games, theirs does.

Ahh, crap sorry, I was thinking in Euro(which is still only 40), yeah, 32 pound.

I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra for the big games, true. I lost out on the ballot last year for the Liverpool game. Sadly I managed to get a ticket another way.

Viagogo used to be a cock for inflating fees, but at least gave everyone a chance of getting in to the big games, even if like me it took a ridiculous effort of sitting all week refreshing F5 and quickly thrashing your details into the screen...and that horrible 5 sec wait of seeing whether it'd had processed!!

There's always the "get a membership, then keep ringing the club all week" option too.

In the end I got sick of pissing about, and just smashed out on a couple of season tickets. Sell the ones I can't/don't want to go to off... 2nd season in, is working well.

I got into a local fan club, they usually get a bunch of tickets.

I wouldn't mind a season ticket, but I can't get to England anywhere near close enough to make it worthwhile.

Wait were people worried about Walcott before hand? Did I miss when he became a top class player during his 10 month injury absence?
Blackett was in defence, we'd have been worried if Wenger was starting against him.
