ffs the posts on this forum. Yes we played poorly in the first half and maybe that was down to LVG tactics or maybe west ham played great and pressing us always seems to work. The second half we were clearly the better team though west ham looked dangerous on the break and on set pieces. Personally we would have won this game if we capitalized on not half chance efforts but almost sitters from 3 different players. I like adnan but he isn't ready for this league so if we can loan him we should or sell him to get a destroyer in the midfielder. several players aren't fulfilling there huge pay packets. Falcoa has to score and rvp has to score as well. They are both are trying so I'm not here to say anything about there effort. Now adm is not what he should be and that concerns me

I am tired of this stupidity. Just move Rooney to Centre Forward FFS!!

Carragit and Yorke just had a great debate about our poor strike force.

Couldn't pick aside but I will say, Rooney is a more capable of striking a partnership with either of the two and also RVP-Wilson seems like a fine selection when it happens but also when we say Wilson-ADM-Falcao trio against QPR it had flashes of the old United.

So my stance would be anything but Van Persie and Falcao, both are too similar, greedy and wasteful, both are probably two levels below what a Man United striker should be at that stage in their career. I think Fellaini and Wilson are more of a handful than the pair started today.

LVG has to pick the best side, not the best individuals, today Wilson or Rooney needed to play further up, Herrera and Fellaini needed to come on, but none of that but Fellaini happened.

A lot of very harsh words for the players here but guys like Di Maria, Januzaj and Rooney are instinct players. They're being forced to play football by numbers by a coach whose ego wants to decide how every moment of a football match is played out.

It's bloody awful to watch and it's no wonder our best players are lost out on the pitch with no confidence. Remember Fergie saying watching Giggs was like watching a spaniel chasing a piece of silver paper in the wind. You can coach defenders like that but our attacking talent should be put into their best positions and allowed to go out and play football.

We're going to lose a lot of gifted players under this coach and bring in a load of intelligent robots. We'll probably be successful under him eventually but I'm not exactly excited about watching a brand of football that values lumping the ball upfield at a lump like Fellaini more than the incisive passing of a Herrera type player.

Watch how good the likes of Falcao, Di Maria and Januzaj are at their next clubs.

Smalling and Fallaaani should have been in the starting 11, we needed that extra height that they would have provided. Di Maria isnt doing a great job behind the strikers, its the same as having Rooney up top, he's a little all over the place. We need to go back to basics, put our most efficient team together in all areas....
    De Gea
    Rafael...Smalling...Rojo...Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera.......Di Maria
    Rooney
    Falcao........RVP
Swap 1 striker with Fellaini if needs be tactically, otherwise stick with this. Rooney adding defensive cover in midfield and Di Maria driving forward out off midfield. Herrera and Blind to control the midfield.

"We couldn’t cope with 'long ball United', it was 'thump it forward and see what they could get'. In the end it paid off." - Sam Allardyce

Hes not wrong either! You couldn't write this stuff!

I was actually pretty disappointed with the performance. We fielded an "attacking" side and still looked pretty toothless.

Cause we had no balance in the team, in other words too attacking when we just start with one pure CM.

Forget about everything else, the one thing that majorly irked me was the fact he dropped Smalling after a good performance between himself and Rojo. Chopping and changing your defence is suicide especially when there isn't any seemingly good reason.

He picked the same side as our last premier league match, the midweek game was against Cambridge so it's hardly anything to go by. Smalling and Rojo should be our #1 pairing but Jones didn't do anything that warranted being dropped either really.

I hope West Ham can put a decent performance in against Southampton on Wednesday and they haven't used up all their energy on today.

Louis Van Gaal Post Match Interview:

LvG needs to chose either Falcao or RvP and never play both.. Both are utterly slow.. Falcao is always scared of being tackled and of course is almost Welbeck in finishing. Not to mention he can't really take on any average defenders. He has lost lots of pace..
RvP does not seem to be getting back the touch anytime soon. So no point having someone like Wilson on the bench and playing to oldies. And put Rooney in CAM or forward. He sucks in midfied and Herrera please...

It hurts my brain. Robotic precision is what it is. You could call it predictability if you'd like. We have players with creativity who wants to express themselves but seemingly aren't allowed. I will endure it during LvG's stint here, after that i hope we find a manager with an attacking agenda (see how i danced around philosophy there) who gives his players some breathing space. Not given up my hope that LvG actually will change his tactical disposition for next season, not yet.
