Terrible side to be put fairly, Blind has saved Van Gaal's skin there.

As usual, this United side is relying on the results of other sides, Arsenal lost, Liverpool Drew, City drew, Spurs are 1 point behind us, Southampton won to go 1 point ahead of us.

Top 4 scramble, Arsenal will definitely get top 4 , the rest is a free for all, I am not totally convinced by us at all, our attacking names are just names, to me they are no better at scoring than our defenders are at being able and competent.

I really wasn't impressed by that performance at all. De Gea was worked far harder than their keeper.
Whilst we were shite, I actually think that may have been quite even in terms of chances. We created quite a few after their goal

that could be a Huge point.

Gained extra ground on Arsenal, and haven't lost ground to Liverpool.

Roll on Burnley midweek. Need to get back to form asap.
On the other hand, we lost ground to Southampton and Tottenham. Right now, it's Tottenham that scares me the most out of the lot behind us.

Hope this is the end of the rooney in midfield, and the Falcao and RVP partnership

If our strikers could actually score we would of won this game comfortably.

Never been so happy with a point. Hoping West Ham play like this against Southampton….
Burnley at home next. Let's get those 3 points. But honestly that Falcao chance…… can't believe he missed that...

You know what? I really don't mind todays result. A point here is pretty decent considering they are tough here. But van Gaal got it wrong again today. EVERYONE except the manager of Manchester united knew that Fellaini had to start today. What's up with that? His presence is what made the difference in the end. Why can't van Gaal see that? Why didn't he start him?

Rooney just looks lost. Completely useless in his new role.

Enough is enough. Forget Falcao. Don't sign him. Play Rooney as a striker. It seems we have too many undroppables.

The worst part of all this is that Southampton refuse to piss off and are stuck like glue on top of us. We've had two chances to change that so far this season and we failed miserably both times.

The worrying thing is that we don't have a balanced squad unlike all our other rivals fighting for 3rd and 4th place. We have no strength in certain positions and too much strength in depth in other positions so I actually don't think we are going to get top 4 this season as Spurs, Liverpool etc are going from strength to strength where as we are stuttering through every single game. The lack of balance in the team is all down to appointing Moyes last year who just pulverized the balance of the team due to failing to sign players we needed when we had the lure of Champions League football while making a couple of panic buys at the same time

LVG obviously wants to do everything opposite of what the fans say.

So everyone should tell him to keep playing 352!

Taking the next corner instead of Jones!
    Seventh place I tell you
I said this to someone just this morning!
Everyone sees yesterday as a gift for us (that we predictably screwed up) but the teams on our arse right now are performing with a capital P-E-R-F-O-R-M! And unless those teams fall behind when their focus goes back to European participation next week*. Unless that makes a difference we will not make the CL positions come the end of the season!
*This could be our saving grace … I hope!

Did van Baal really say Herrera has to improve? Over who?

Rooney who can't play a yard pass
    Falcao who is torres v2.0
    RVP who is passed it
Fellaini who really should be playing for stoke or west ham
Di maria who is half the player he was at Madrid

    I'm taking the piss surely...

When you think that even the TSN pundits here in Canada are pointing about the lack of Herrera's skillset on the pitch when he can make something, this is getting really bad for Van Gaal.

I say Van Gaal is a total idiot to say that.

Why? Because we got a point against West Ham? It's West freakin' Ham!!!
No because if we didn't draw, the reacton to the loss would be massive. Just look at the reaction of the sky sports pundits, we are being given credit rather than the stick we deserve.

Van Gaal has got off likely, because of the results of Arsenal and Liverpool. We have reversed the advantage we took last weekend, so practically we are back square one from 2 weeks ago, as the table is relatively still the same.

Was we resillient? I don't think so, I think we got ourselves out of jail against a average side in poor form.

I'm beginning to think top 4 is a big ask considering our strikers are in decline and we have bad defenders and an non existent midfield, we have individuals with moments, there is no pattern or distinguishable style of play.

Van Gaal has alot to prove aswell as the players, these are not Man United standards, Fergies 3rd place sides may have been inexperienced and understrength, but they had alot of players just a step away from being great while most of these players are closer to the exit door rather than Chelsea/City.

Maybe I am knee-jerking, but it's not positive result, its an indifferent result as nothing as changed and theres been no progress to suggest we are guaranteed top 4 just yet.

    Not happy.

ffs the posts on this forum. Yes we played poorly in the first half and maybe that was down to LVG tactics or maybe west ham played great and pressing us always seems to work. The second half we were clearly the better team though west ham looked dangerous on the break and on set pieces. Personally we would have won this game if we capitalized on not half chance efforts but almost sitters from 3 different players. I like adnan but he isn't ready for this league so if we can loan him we should or sell him to get a destroyer in the midfielder. several players aren't fulfilling there huge pay packets. Falcoa has to score and rvp has to score as well. They are both are trying so I'm not here to say anything about there effort. Now adm is not what he should be and that concerns me

I wonder how many of our fans would choose to play Rooney there.
I'd wager very very small amounts.

Rooney just off one of VP or Falcao, and a proper mid in there.
    Why wouldn't you!

I actually want to scream, starting to feel how I felt last season
Strap yourself in for just about scraping into the top 4, and then we can all sit back and hope for some quality injection.
