Deleted it. Sorry.
When you came through the newbies so quickly, and after seeing some of your posts, I had high hopes for you. You could've been our next Rooney with your initial introduction, but now you're just a Macheda.:(

The commentary was great for the Martial goal. Hurry up and post it.

Let's be honest, he usually hates it when we score.

When we get the right goals he usually gives the right reaction. Look at Benteke's goal, it was so against the run of play that he barely winced at it.

Delete these messeges please. It ruins the thread.
So does yours.

And now mine does too.

Basically you fecked up a good thread. Nice one, Bugzy. Or should I say Plugsy?

He generally has an underwhelming tone when we score. It doesn't bother me enough to remember what goals, but the fact 3 are so memorable shows that it is only 3.

I didn't really hear the commentary as I was too busy bouncing round the room, it's nice to hear Tyler getting excited over us for once, he certainly loves a good "footballing story" though

I generally find Martin Tyler's reaction pretty appropriate to the situation. He gets caught up in the moment. The Benteke goal came with them 2 down and us looking comfortable whereas the Martial goal sealed the game plus was a huge goal for him.

As much as I love our Nev, Andy Gray would have been perfect as the 2nd commentator after that goal. His commentary on the Giggs goal in 99 was the best bit of commentary ever for me.

And on the Ronaldo goal at Fulham - I still remember him saying "There is no one else on the pitch who can come close to doing what this young man has just done"

The bit for the goal today was great, Tyler always gets carried away in moments like that. Shame he had to then 30 seconds later start talking about how Macheda had a similar moment on his debut and he came to nothing.

What's hilarious about that is, Gray and Tyler immediately before Yorke's equalizer were saying "sometimes you know when your beaten and this is Liverpools day" when we hit the post in the last minute. Then we go and score twice in injury time. We threw the script out the window so many times in 98/99.

Obviously there have been better players than Solksjaer, but I dont know if any player ever had the feel good timing he had. He always scored exactly when you wanted him to.

To be fair to him he did then follow that up and say the signs were all there for him to be a star though.

Amazing commentary here. Gray was a brilliant storyteller.
Probably one of the most dramatic games in my lifetime that I have seen live. It had everything, the equally sized partisan crowds for both sides, the commentary, floodlights two belters for us, a penalty save and all between the two best sides in the country.

Best birthday present I ever had.

I remember when Gerrard was sent off against us last year. Tyler went "OH NO" when the ref stuck up the red card.
