Many clubs are, and better should. You can acquire quite a number of points for your UEFA coefficient* which are also very relevant to your country coefficient. (In fact, there are only 3 points less to grab for the winner of the EL as compared to CL). The more English teams don't give a feck, the sooner Italy will grab the 4th spot from England. I'm looking forward to thread titles which include "top 3" where today it reads "top 4".Ha ha ha who the feck is actually interested in the Europa League?
Furthermore, the winner gets automatically qualified for the Champions League.
Very short-sighted to disregard the Europa League but some may need to learn it the hard way.
* Edit to add: United is currently 19th (as in nineteenth) in the UEFA coefficient ranking.
