That's my point. We have created near to 20 chances. It is the strikers' fault they aren't even on target. If there was 1 chance created you'd put it down to tactics.

I guess he is at fault for putting faith in youth as well.

Sure some other games have been boring, but if you choose to ignore those that actually aren't boring or class then as outliers then you are always going to be blaming LVG for something.
I take it you are happy then? Everything is awesome?

Of course van Gaal is to blame. He's got rid of Hernandez, RVP, Wilson and Welbeck and given us a team that can't hit a f*ucking barn door.
He and Moyes wrecked Hernandez's game. Goes from being a natural goal-scorer to looking lost. LVG could nullify Ole-G and RvN!

LVG is probably a shit man-manager. Ran off so many quality players we could've had this season.

RVP, Chicharito, Rafael, Victor Valdes, etc.

Think everyone is losing their shit now? Just wait until Liverpool go ahead of us and start challenging for the title, you will see some serious meltdowns in here then!

Crap result, but promising last twenty minutes or so. We actually looked dangerous for once even if we couldn't finish off any of the chances created. Depay did well when he came on. It may be time to give him a chance from the start of the next game. He can hardly do any worse than some of the other players out there.
I agree with this. Everyone else seems to think that our attack was the worst its ever been. It was clearly better than in recent weeks and I dont know how other people cant see that.

We need to start turning these draws into wins, because this is getting ridiculous now. Another chance to capitalise on City's defeat and go above Arsenal, but we continue to mess it up.

We had chances today. Fellaini, Martial and Lingard should be scoring, especially in such a tight game. Even Mata's and Schweinstieger's were half chances.

Spurs and Liverpool gaining ground on us now, but they have momentum with them... Top 4 is by no means guaranteed

I'd like to know how many of those backing LVG and calling those of us who are disillusioned "dumb" and less complimentary things, how many were also backing Moyes at this stage of his season in charge

Er...............the purpose of an attack is precisely what? Surely not scoring goals! It matters not a toss how well they play if they don't score.

Lets be realistic though. We aren't title contenders. Not this season. Not the way our attack looks. Unless by some minor miracle. We will fall away come February and March with this type of attack.

I would be happy with 3rd place and knockout stage of CL. Maybe the FA Cup would be nice.

Our title opposition slip up and we can't even force a goal knowing the result. Today and last week at Leicester are such wasted opportunities.

If we're to do well this year then it's going to like pulling teeth and banking on the other teams to drop points. Even Liverpool look like trouble for us now.

Of course not. What is narrow-mind and stupid comment.

In many other threads I have stated we have become way too boring to watch in many matches. But this is not one of those.

Just because I am not a negative drama queens like the many posters in this thread does not mean I think all is well and happy.

Taking the next corner instead of Jones!
I think you being optimistic, they way we are playing is OK but not being able to score is a real problem, if it carries on we will be fighting just for a place in the Europa Cup.
So basically, if Spurs and 'Pool gain a bit more ground, we'll be in Moyes country after twice as much time as he was given and spending a a huge wadge more money!

We were scoring goals for fun at the back end of last season, with the system we played. If Van Gaal wasn't so stubborn, he'd go back to that, because something clearly isn't working, and although we might not have the best attack in the world, we've got good enough players to be scoring against the likes of West Ham, Palace, etc.

Yea and if he was with us,he would do the same, copy paste, its that simple...
he was possibly the most natural goal-scorer we've had since Ole-G. Moyes and LVG ruined him. That's the point being made.

I'm convinced it's not the squad. Yes our attacking quality is not the best, but it is definitely better than 5 blanks in 9.

It's the style of play for me

AFAIC our goalscoring problem is due to lack of movement, not who is playing or where they are playing. Rooney I admit has been poor but today should explode the myth that 'he' was holding us back.

LVG believes in letting the ball come to the player rather than the player attacking the ball. We can clearly see players, especially our midfielders, doing this and it's ridiculous because you've literally stopped to receive the pass instead of keeping our momentum up the pitch. Memphis, Lingard, and Martial, who have the roles of 'creative' players, are allowed to take passes while on the move but by the time the ball goes to them, all of the defenders have gotten into position. Which is why we are trying to pass through 10 men and we're so reliant on crossing, which West Ham can defend against all day long.

It will not matter which strikers we have on the roster to play. Martial, Rooney, Fellaini, Wilson, RVP, Hernandez, they will ALL experience lack of service if we keep playing such a slow game.

Outside of that, McNair and Blind were awful today and I was not impressed with Varela at all, who I thought was ready to be exposed big time on the right. I am thoroughly fed up with Mata and want him sold. Fellaini had a decent first half but did very little in the 2nd.

As for Tuesday, I hope we win but if we go out I really don't care because we're nowhere near ready for the bigger European clubs yet. The PL is RIGHT THERE to be taken and we can't score a fecking goal.
