Think he very well could be gone by morning with Mou coming in, what a shame, the transfer window brought so much promise. Thanks for Shaw, Memphis, DDG's contract and Martial though LvG, you've helped us build for the future.
I'd be amazed if we sacked him this soon, the club will allow this to drag on for quite some time before sacking him.

he got his time, now its time to finally feck off, some disgraceful decisions throughout his United career but enough is enough, save the season before its too late and we dont make champions league, god knows why we are discussing this, we should be talking about title, he got enough time to show if he's manutd quality, he failed and disappointed many people incl me

I dont want to turn into the club of the manager merry gone round...

He should still be given time, but always preferred Mourhino and as well as Pep.

If no Pep, and Mourhino wants the job straight away, i would be ok with him going, but at least give him till January and see what the table looks like
I don't either, but I do feel like we've reached a threshold with van Gaal and I'm worried that if we don't act now it could have dire consequences for the future of the club. We saw what happened when we kept hold of Moyes until top four was mathematically lost. We should really have sacked him in about Jan/Feb and we might have salvaged something from the wreckage. I fear we could be going the same way this season.

For someone who was praised before coming here for being flexible and adaptive, he seems remarkably stubborn and unwilling to change things that are clearly not working. With that god awful 3-5-2 last season, with Rooney, with this setup we've got now. The best football by far we've played under him was with a set up he pretty much stumbled upon because of injuries. He's spent a lot of money in the summer and has changed the system to his liking and somehow we've got much worse.

He won't be sacked yet, and, to be honest I'd probably still give him a bit more time, if not just for lack of better immediate replacements. He really has to change his approach though or we'll keep losing, and from what we've seen so far it's hard to see that happening. Hopefully he realises his job is on the line now and stops fannying about.
The club will give him time, because process. If we get top 4 again, he'll probably see out his contract.

Do the club even care about trophies anymore? They're not showing it.

We've fallen so far since SAF left.
No. Just no.

Time for what? 1.5 more years until he retires? He's not fecking 45. Whoever takes over from him will change things. So time for what exactly?

You think he'll be sacked before New Year? I'll be shocked if so.

I imagine we'll give him at least til April to see if we can get top 4 again. Then we might part ways in the summer.

Whoever takes over him has a shot at winning the premier league.

This guy is going to put us below Liverpool soon.

I don't know.

I just don't think the club will sack him anytime soon.

Note: I am not advocating him to be given more time. I am one of his harshest critics. I've wanted him gone since his 1st season in charge.

I actually don't think he will survive after today, the fans have lost complete faith in him now, no board can ignore that.

I still have weird faith he can get 4th, so I say, nail a manager down now (Ancelotti, Mourinho whoever), and let him run the season down

Why was Herrera not playing?
Why are we still playing with Rooney up until now knowing full well the negative impact he has on this team?
Where is Sneiderlin?

we are absolute gash, he needs to go. I think today is the tipping point for many fans.
This is the first time in 50 years of supporting/watching United that I've actually gone against the Manager. It's the combination of results with what is put in front of you that tells me he should go - honourably or otherwise. We need to get our plans in place for next season, this one is effectively over.

The form that we have since late october will see us end in midtable around the 7th position.

Agreed. We gave Moyes till CL football was pretty much out of the question. I expect it'll be the same with LVG, which means he'll probably be here till next season at the very least. If we finish 4th, I expect he'll be given till 2017 when he'll step down.
Problem with that is that it will probably take a change in management for us to make top 4.

Leaving it til CL is impossible would be hugely irresponsible from the board.

Fans who keep saying "he should be given time he should be given time" baffles me. 1.5 years isn't enough time to show that the club is going somewhere? Where have you all been since LVG was appointed? Do you all not watch games week in week out? Are you all not able to think analytically and logically? Do you all only say that because "Oh, it's the right thing to say because some analysts have said the same about giving time to new managers."

Top four was the objective last season, this season was all about building on that and mounting a challenge for the title, and having a decent run in the Champions League. Neither can be done, so he should feck off. We're not Arsenal and LVG isn't someone who should need time at this point. The man has spent a fortune and this is ultimately his team.

Yeah I can't see the club sacking him yet.

Exactly, which is why he'll be gone soon

But if he knows he's getting binned in the summer will he even have motivation to get fourth? Will he really care about developing the side in his final 5 months?

Hey I agree with you. I want him gone ASAP.

I'd sack him right now.

He has utterly failed as a manger of this club. If that Moyes season never happened, I think LVG would face even more criticism.

I hope not, giving our next manager the January transfer window would make sense.

I want to say "If he isn't sacked now, it would be hilarious" - but it wouldn't be. Because something predictable can't be hilarious.

He'll be given just enough time to make sure we have no chance of a title chase. Like we usually do. Because we "Don't want to become Madrid". Though with our results, I'd say we're in no danger of becoming Madrid any time soon.

If this is his last job as he says, then I would like to think he has enough pride to ensure he at least ends on a high, or as much of a high as possible.

With time, Moyes' tenure continues to look just a bit better with Louis in charge. You'd hope the next manager makes Louis' tenure look bad with time because that would mean they are doing very well.

Every loss under Moyes felt so painful. This crap we're witnessing with LvG has made me immune to any sort of emotion when watching us.

He's lost the players....you can see it, the crowd can see it...everyone sees it. Sure they will come out with their sound bites, but you could see in the last 15 minutes it was over...just the same at the end of Moyes tenure.
