Howard Nurse reckons we're replacing Sir Alex with Sven Goran Eriksson. More news to follow when they invent Twitter.

I would have still fired him. Sign an interim manager if needed. We could have made it to top 4 without this idiot

I know I'm in the minority here but this does all feel bittersweet.

I'm absolutely certain that he needed to go, there was simply too much discourse this season to ignore. However, I still like the bloke and I think the way Saturday unfolded has left a bad taste in my mouth. He's just won the FA Cup for us, for the first time in over a decade, and the immediate focus was "cheers, you can go now"...

I know it had to happen but, meh, it just feels a bit shitty.

Jose had better not feck things up (further).

Paddy probably thinks that Atkinson is still employed and that SAF was just an actor.

It's pretty good news to be honest, I really think it would undermine Mourinho if Giggs stays around.

In a minority, but would be sad to see Giggs leave. Probably the best for all of us, but would be weird to see Giggs going anywhere else.

Personally, I don't get the assumption he's done a bad job. As the assistant he is entrusted to certain duties presumably in preparation, analysis and man management but team selection and team set up are not up to him. Obviously Jose will want to have a say in who will be his no. 2 and if he doesn't want Giggs then fair enough but I don't get why so many caftards want to kick him out based on LVG failed tenure.
