    Well we are not losing.

That is all I have to say about that half.

No, an accurate corner/set piece with couple great De Gea saves would suffice:lol:

Since Liverpool is not a great team either and they do have problems converting their chances i think a sneaky, sucker punch win is not out of question.
You, sir, are one amazing optimist. Pool is not a great team but we are making them look like Barca. We look effing clueless against them.

No, but can you name one player in the squad right now that can create something from nothing, anyone besides Martial.
So far I've been disappointed with what "he creates from nothing". There's a burst of pace with the ball at his feet, but no intricate change of pace, and v few screaming shots or killer passes. I'm willing to blame his isolation on the boss but even from him in these circumstances I'm hoping to see something more.

Every match I sit down, somehow excited and ready to watch football and then Manchester United suck all of that out of me within a few minutes. I don't think that anything is going to make us change manager and I don't think that anyone of note is going to come play this painful football. What is it that the manager sees in Fellaini? I've never seen a guy so huge be so cowardly (lazy?) going for headers and that's literally all he has going for him isn't it? Lingard will be at Stoke or something in a couple of years...that, or he'll be playing midtable with us I suppose :/

No game plan, no tactics, no method to anything, just booting the ball up field and players running away from their positions.
Don't know what we were doing in training this week but this is shockingly bad.
Our only "chance" has come from a solo effort from Martial, which says it all really.

In the space of a year, Van Gaal has somehow manged to make us much, much worse, in spite of spending a feckload of money. Poor results are one thing, but the complete lack of attacking football is just unacceptable for a club of our stature.

Other managers has figured out Van Gaal a long time ago, yet he does never change his approach. Feck the "we are not a sacking club" nonsense, what are we then? A club with no ambition? A club who accepts mediocrity?

    Well, that was not good....

    - Little to no challenges for Pool´s defense, static and predictable offensive display
    - No control over the midfield, mostly because Herrera thinks it is wise to press Pool´s backline on his own, which leaves them outnumbered in midfield.
    - Defensively suspect more often than not, FB both terrible, CB okaish

You make this pretty low quality Liverpool team look better than it is. They were actually decent, creating quitet a few chances bust miss cutting edge.

We need Martial in the ball more but we have no midfielders to pass the ball to him. Morgan is utter shite at passing/showing for the ball. Fellaini is Fellaini. Lingards been wank.

Cant even blame Rooney today, He has had nothing to work with, we keep sending long balls to him rather than behind him.

Hes been just as shite as everybody else
What? He's been the only one trying to make something happen and showing some thought and composure in our team. Passed it to Herrera for the pathetic shot and nearly created a chance for himself by going past a few Liverpool players. He's also been way too isolated because we can't keep the ball for more than 5 seconds and our fullbacks are shit.

Lingard's been one of the worst players on the pitch so far. He lost the ball every time he received it. We've also been overrun in midfield (as expected) and can't really cope with their pressing (also as expected).

Those corners we had were criminal. The 2nd one in particular.

Dodgy keeper, shit defence, so what do we do?

Play it to the edge of the box so it's intercepted and they can break on us.
That surprised me as well. Why would you not have a right footer swing one in? Mignolet is a nightmare in those scenario's.

Rooney up front? he is not fast enough. And he has not been for quiet a while now.
He couldn't outrun Toure I couldn't believe it! Lingard is out his depth to think some of the great players we used to have on the bench that couldn't get a game and Lingard is starting for us! How far we have fallen!

Just love reading people talking about individual players needing to come off. One player being substituted will do nothing for the team. Don't you get that the whole shape is not working? The whole damn tactic, together with the instructions to keep a narrow back 4 and play with space between our attackers. "Herrera has to come off, Fellaini has to come off" - So what? What do you think will change if one or both go off? Jack shi* that is what.

How poor a team we have become, its painful to watch. We have gone alarmingly backwards. This is worst than what Moyes assembled.

Now that LVG is forced to abandoned his "Philosophy" and start playing more direct, we are truly fcuked as a team. Its just a joke. ..

I hope the plan was to let then tire themselves out and we step it up now. Move Fellaini a little higher and Herrera back. Low quality but I expected us to be worse off. For all the uneasiness we were under, they didn't create much of anything.

Good spot for United. Got dominated, held the tie and we are still due the Liverpool goalie mistake. Not sure why United aren´t playing more for crosses and deflections for corners. Don´t need possession against Pool (not that they had any), you need set pieces.
Because we can only play one way. The predictable way.

Last thing Liverpool fans want to see is us buy in a proven, world class striker. When we did that we won the league by 11 points.
We could have the best striker in the world playing for us, but with LvG at the realm he'll somehow feck it up.

Not a single player has composure on the ball. shows how low the confidence is.

Lingard is not a united player, the sooner this fact is acknowledged, the better. Sell him to a championship club

Attacking football? We are holding on for dear life! We look like we just found out Klopp likes to press! I'll settle for not looking so clueless and utterly disorganized. You are right on being worse. We look desperately poor.

These sort of stats are bloody sh!t, and are put together by someone who doesn't understand it's a lot easier to make passes from defence, watching the whole pitch, then it being buffeted from up front, especially when your team barely have the ball

I think LVG will revert back to Mode2*, after Mode1* was used against Newcastle.
*We have 2 modes: Mode1 is all out attack and no defence. Mode2 is total defence and no attack.
I previously wrote this and it looks like that is what we are doing.

I love a good witch hunt as much as the next man, assuming that man isn't Donald Trump, but you've been naughty with the facts there. Rooney skinned Toure, the rotund Ivorian just managing to nudge it out of play.

Great work from Rooney. Poor from Martial, but Liverpool press well.

Is this from the same book of facts that contains claims about left footed penalty takers having less variety?
