Listen, I'm sure for some of you this is just a funny joke, but I honestly think what has happened here is pretty serious and we need to think about which way the board is going to go.

Recently there has been a rising sentiment that the board is going downhill a bit, certainly the level of discourse seems to be getting lower and a few long term posters seem to be getting upset at what is happening. Now Cina is supposed to be an overseer of discussion, personally I don't agree with what he says but despite getting some (unwarranted) abuse from him I've never thought of him as a bad poster.

Until Now.

This is the type of thing that I would get banned for. Other posters might get infracted for. It's not on. Sure we know Cina does a job that he doesn't get paid for but he's still chosen to represent this board and has all the privilidges that brings. Secret forums, meet-ups and free merchandise from the club store. It all adds up, and if it is ok for him to make this thread, others will follow.

I'd accept this from a few idiots but not from Cina, he's supposed to be the best of us and he's let the board down greatly today. My question is mods and admins what happens from this moment? This is an important moment in the boards history, people are linking to other forums and many have talked about leaving (I've had at least a dozen pms now asking me for other forums). If this board is going to continue to be an excellent source of entertainment then something needs to happen. I'm not talking about a full banning, but maybe a couple of months suspension for Cina to clear his head.

This is just posting incorrect information in the theory that because it falls into something called a "Wum" it's amusing. Just like idiots throw around Bants as an excuse for stuff that isn't humor.

Moments like this that children in Africa have to be thankful for. Yeah, they might moan about having to travel 10 miles for water each day, but at least they'll know their info is reliable when they're told that Van Gaal's been sacked.
