  • HI, I was wondering how people get to post in the regular forum? I have been trying for a while to be promoted but alas this has not happened. As a former season ticket holder you can assure that I am no troll! I also noticed that somebody who has joined only a few days ago had been promoted to post in the regular forums, which seems a tad unfair to me :(

    I want to let you know that one of your admins by the name of Solius has been causing trouble for myself & other folks. Solius was extremely rude & condescending in some of his replies to me & he deleted my posts, despite all my posts followed the guideline of redcafe.net. Solius is a bully to myself & others & he's using his power as an admin to bully & harass. I sincerely hope something can be done about Solius.

    Ive been on a cut for almost a month now these are my results:

    A month ago(26/1/2014):
    weight=74.4kg
    muscle mass=33.5
    body fat mass=15.9

    bmi=28.0
    %body fat=21.4
    waist-hip ratio=0.90
    basic metabolic rate=1633

    Today(23/2/2014):
    weight=74.1kg
    muscle mass=34.5
    body fat mass=14.2

    bmi=27.9
    %body fat=19.2
    waist-hip ratio=0.87
    basic metabolic rate=1664

    What body fat % should signal for someone to go on a cut?

    Whenever they want to lose weight. They just need to be aware if they don't have much muscle mass they're going to look sick if they get down to single figures.

    Like you ive been working out for 6 months almost i feel like i have enough muscle mass but im not sure, should i start cutting now or work out for 2-3 more months?

    Im at 20 bf is that too much?

    I've been working out for a lot longer than 6 months buddy! But it's upto you. You've gained a max of 10-12lbs in that time muscle. Anything further is likely fat. 20% bf is not too much, it's about normal for people that are either bulking, or who don't train at all.

    Seriously, let go of this notion about losing fat and gaining muscle at the same time. If you're not a kid in puberty lifting weights for the first time, or morbidly obese then it's not going to be possible. BCAAs are amino acids, found in protein and thus found in food. Selling BCAAs as special, is like saying that you should buy a car because it has seats inside. All cars have seats inside.

    theres 1 more thing that i shouldve mentioned yday about losing fat and gaining muscle simultaneously ,

    Creatine helps in retaining muscle mass so if i go ahead and try to lose fat by exercising( insanity, p90 etc) would that be a solution for not losing much of you muscle whilst trying to lose fat?

    Ofcourse I meant doing those and maintaining a suitable diet.

    So if i cant do both, whats the solution to cutting fat( not trying to lose weight just to be clear) and getting a six pack and being more cut?

    Ive asked this question before and i got alot of different views and answers so ill rephrase:

    If i decide to combine insanity for 4-5 times a week with going to the gym for 4-5 times a week what would happen or what would i be able to achieve?

    Would I get cut?
    lose fat(im at 19% body fat) and not gain muscle?

    Would I be able to do both if im at a suplus or the opposite?
    Question to the caf experts:

    Ive been contemplating about doing insanity workouts 4-5 times a week to burn my belly fat. now ive gone through the general forums and some have posted that its impossible to lost weight and gwin muscle.

    Is it possible or impossible?
    If so why?

    Hi guys i started going to the gym again I did a bit of research and went through this thread and im thinking about combining these two programs:

    Jim Stoppani's 12 week shortcut to size
    the full body workout mentioned in the previous post by Resonance

    Do you think this is suitable and effective?

    Also have you ever tried or reviewed Animal cuts?
    If so do you recommend it?
    About the squats, high blood pressure is likely to cause temp hearing loss, and that pressure increase comes from holding your breath. If that doesn't work then just lower your intensity.
