No he hasn't. He outwitted Rodgers two times last season, can't remember how the 3-1 at OT went apart from the goals but your last win at Anfield was a total fluke and in huge part thanks to DDG. LvG certainly doesn't have Klopp's number.
I think the first win last season was due to luck as well. I think sturridge and coutinho where injured and sterling started up front and missed loads of chances and De Gea saved so many. Is this the first time sturridge has played against us since Lvg came?

To be fair, that's not luck, thats just Sterling.

No. Sturridge scored against us in the 2-1 win at Juanfield.

Wanting van Gaal out is 'supporting your team'.
    Indeed.
While LVG is here, we shall continue to aspire to be in 4th place, while getting 6th place will be acceptable.
You only have to look at how many of our fans still support LVG, even though we are a 6th place team.
In comparison, Moyes got fired for being in 7th.

If LVG did the same thing at Barca, Bayern, PSG, Madrid, he'd be fired and chased out of town.

I hate to say it but they're probably going to be more up for it than we are. They're finding some form under Klopp and this is pretty much the only thing they have left to play for, not to mention they're desperate to beat us after losing 4 in a row. Our players on the other hand don't look particularly bothered and are probably already looking forward to the end of the season when LVG hopefully fecks off.

    2-0 to them.

pereira apparently not in the squad today. that's all the team news i have, and i'm the last person anyone should look to for this sort of thing.

the good news, however, is that i'm pretty sure valencia is in the team.

Fox Sports sucks. As does my cable provider for that matter. I won't be able to watch it live and since my cable provider does not have FS2 I can't record it. So I'll have to watch a stream replay from Fox streaming service. Why the feck would they not put one of the biggest games of the season on FS1? Oh, wait, it's the Europa League. Nevermind.

can the whole thing about LVG favouring youth finally die now?
Lingard suspended, Borthwick-Jackson injured, Fosu-Mensah ineligible and Januzaj cup tied while Rashford and Riley make the squad and Poole expected to get a spot too.

So..... no, it can't. And nobody said he "favours youth" anyway. He favours youth players filling his squad over padding his squad out with "squad players".

LvG has a terrific record against Liverpool, and will be the first in our history to get 5 over them in a row - so being a negative bloke I think we will lose. Either 2-0 or 2-1. Just a hunch.
It depends a lot of DDG.
If he really makes some outstanding saves, then we can win.
If he has an average performance (which is rare), we are screwed.

From M.E.N. Maybe why BFS is in squad before expected.
    Injury doubt for United
It looks as though there could be an injury worry for United this evening.

According to the Mirror, Ander Herrera is understood to be a doubt for United’s Europa League clash with Liverpool tonight.

    And who said that exactly?
Plenty of people on this forum.
And those people are hailing him as some form of genius who works miracles with youth players and turns them into superstars.

BBC are saying Milner is a doubt after being sent home from training (illness). That's massive. He covers so much of the pitch.

I wouldn't say he's shit. He just works his socks off. He makes Liverpool a better team anyway so for me I'm glad he's out.
i would take milner on my side any day of the week. not the most skilled as you say, but anyone with a work ethic like that makes a team better.

No, they're saying he gives youth a chance, holding a small squad and filling the squad positions with youngsters. Big difference.

    Tough game to call.

We usually do well v Liverpool under Van Gaal.. but they have a very strong lineup by their standards this season.

We will either get torn apart under a vicious anfield atmosphere, or grind our way to a decent result. I can't see Liverpool winning 2-1. Draw/tight win to us or hammering I think.

You know what I remember the same being said when SAF was first in charge, we were dreadful, had some bad losses and he was apparently one FA Cup defeat away from sacking, we beat Notts Forest and the rest is history has they say, now I am not even remotely saying that LVG is even close to SAF but he isgoing to be here for the rest of the season, maybe just maybe getting behind the team instead of shouting for him to be sacked would aid the team better.

3-0 to men in red tonight. Stick a tenner on it. It'll help ease the pain.

All of our wins have against them under LVG have been a combination of limiting their chances, DDG coming through, and us taking our chances. If we frustrate them early I can see a good result. Would love for us to attack straight away but think we'll be more cautious.

Think we will get blown away from the start with their intensity, we will be half asleep. Hope for the best though.
