Lingard, Martial, Rashford are the future.

Would Mourinho wreck that?

That BBC montage  the FA Cup is so special and has so many memories etched from Cantona v Liverpool and Giggs v Arse. I couldn't be happier!

So happy for Carrick. Played these last 2 games like he knows they're his last for the club. Getting into the box like I've never seen him do before. Could've won it late on, and gets to lift the trophy.

Feels great to win, but bitter sweet as we are outside the top 3 in the league.

very fitting that Lingard's beautiful volley wins LVG this trophy given how much faith the manager had in him.

Lastly, it was also nice to see Rooney also ask Carrick to lift trophy with him. And this was the best Rooney midfield display I've seen so far. He might just have carved out a new role for himself.

I was tearing up as the team walked up the steps to the trophy.

Its been too long since we've done that. I'd almost forgotten how it felt. The players fought so hard for each other, can't say a bad word for any of them nor LVG tonight. They're heroes.

This is going to keep me going for weeks, I reckon.

Well well I was absolutely sure we were done for when Smalling walked.

Deserved it. Palace were dirty fecks in that second half and ET. Not just on Rojo and Rashford, the amount of grappling and shoving that all went unpunished was unreal.

Happy for LVG to get a trophy here, assuming that's his last game. Delighted for Carrick as well.

pace kills. - funny that puncheon didn't start.

rooney's run not as good as giggy's goal but it was a great bit of determination and skill by him.

Some of the most slagged off players like Rooney, mata, Valencia, Fellainia nd even Lingard - they were brilliant and won this for us. Still want LvG gone but this is a good send off and a platform for the team in the next season if done right. Champions for teh 12th time 12 years later! :D

Smalling gets no dessert though.

Nice gesture from Rooney. He was ok and great for the first goal, but my god he gave the ball away a lot, often when failing to complete basic, short passes.

Lingard are with a sublime finish, after going down to 10 men, you honestly could write a better script.

Glad I stayed up until 3.30am for it.

Now it's over to Ed for the big decisions to be made & new toys to be bought...

I know i shouldn't talk about posters but people hating and insulting Smalling was just pathetic. Attention spans of a dead butterfly...

I felt confident we would win. Palace just aren't a good story this season. For me, for the upset to take place, the underdog has to come into it with a worthwhile narrative, Palace lacked that.

My favourite part of this final was the lid flying off the trophy

Shaken, and very stirred......
Just so happy. I mean that happiness that you only get in football. Totally deserved and the right outcome. Even when we went 1 - 0 down I didn't believe it was the end. Typical United win, and what a bloody goal to win it with.
