I want to do unspeakable things to Florentino Perez. There is not a more vile cretin in the game today.

I have faith in Mourinho. I think DDG will be happy to play under him.

Although De Gea is miles better, if he wants to leave and has a release clause then Courtois wouldn't be an awful replacement.

Courtois would be a good replacement but Chelsea wouldn't sell to us and I think we're keeping DDG anyway

hyperbole is so popular on football forums... DDG had a better season but he's not miles better than Courtois, who is still TOP5 goalkeeper and one of the biggest prospects in the world of football when it comes to goalkeepers. I wouldn't change DDG him for any player in the world but he's replacable mainly because he cant dominate the air space, we were freaking terrible last couple of years in the air and having a goalkeeper who can do that is very useful especially in the premier league.. Curtois, only one cm short from 2m tall goalkeeper, has a big edge on ddg in this, he would be a great replacement certainly better than Oblak or Navas, chelsea wouldn't sell though

Yea, "miles" is exaggerating but he's better than Courtois no question.

I actually do think he's miles better. DDG has improved incredibly over the last few years. Apart from his insane reflexes, his distribution has incredibly improved as has is commanding of the penalty area in set pieces. I agree that Courtois would be probably be better than Navas and Oblak, I just think DDG is in a league of his own along with Neur. The rest are just a tier below.

Yeah he is talking crap. Also us being linked with another Chelsea player in Courtois. Maybe we can just swap their entire squad with ours as Jose had all those players on his side when he managed them last.

Bale was never really muppetry to me. I was deep in the Fabregas and Thiago stuff though. I view this one like Bale in that it's too far out of our reach for it to happen.

Probably not, but Verratti has more quality and potential. He's the perfect replacement for Scholes we've needed all these years.
Verratti has more quality right now but potential? Thats easily Pogba. Verratti is 5'5" while Pogba is 6'3" and a much better athlete. Pogba is more capable of producing that match winning moment.

Scholes is 5'6, N'Zonzi is 6'3. Pogba may be the better 'athlete', but he's not the better midfielder...

Except that is still debatable for many people. And that comparison is really insulting to Pogba's quality.
What's 'insulting' is claiming that a footballer, because of his size, is better than another. My comparison is based on the claim you've made, where Pogba's superior physical attributes make him the better footballer... Absurd claim. I do understand the qualities of a physical specimen (take Yaya, for example), but I absolutely do not see any negative to technically gifted, controlling midfielders who are 5-foot-something. There is no correlation between physical size and ability.

Pogba fades, I don't find he's consistent enough yet. Verratti controls games. I would say most on the caf at the moment would rate Verratti higher.
