You also have to consider what team you'd rather pay to watch?

You'd be entertained on both ends on my side. On the other hand, I'd rather lacerate a scrotum than pay to watch Jacques Kallis bat. Think about it.

First impression is that this is the closest match so far. I like Skills on that green-top, don't think Swann would bowl much but between his four seamers he has pace, bounce, swing, everything. Boult is the odd man out as far as quality and class goes. Interval's batting is a little stronger but not enough to make up the gap.

The second Test I think favours Interval, but by less of a margin. Interval can deploy spin from both ends, and I like Warne and Saqlain both more than Swann in these conditions and in the role of aggressive wicket taker. However, Skills' seamers also have excellent subcontinental records, in particular Imran Khan who has the best bowling average in Asia. Interval's batting and bowling still just shade it here.

The first Test I think would be a draw but that doesn't help me make a decision. Tempted to say Skills because if anyone can take 20 wickets against that batting lineup it has to be Marshall and Imran. I don't think Saqlain would do so well there.

2-1 Skills for the moment, will revisit in a bit.

Sachin? Greenidge? Lax?

And as much of a cliche it is, you need batsmen like Kallis, Border Chanderpaul in tests because if there are early wickets, you need such characters to play out innings.

Closest game so far I think. 2 v v good teams as is to be expected at this stage but very well rounded too.

Ah I missed voting in this match. Saw alert from Interval in afternoon but was busy that time and teams looked close so thought of reading the arguments later and voting. Forgot completely afterwards.
