Feels like we're on a hiding to nothing here. It's a must win after being squashed by Chelsea and all the pressure is on us with how strong a aide we've picked against mainly Man City's backup players albeit with a strong spine.

Even if we win convincingly it'll all be "oh it's only the league cup" "Why is Mourinho tiring out players in League Cup while the big teams are playing their kids" "Still only 1 league win in 6"

Who cares what it will be. Most important thing is for players to gain some confidence and get some winning again.

    He can't win.

Players get blasted on here for their application and attitude on the field and then when Mourinho does something about it people get upset.

This whole squad need a fecking good kick up the ass and I for one am glad Mourinho has the cajones to do it.
How does Mkihi deserve a kick up the arse? He hasn't even been given a chance to warrant a kick up the arse. I mean Depay has been given more chances, on the back of a shocking first season.

I've never seen a manager like Mourinho cast a player aside so quick. Especially ones he's bought himself! I mean is it not part of his job to know what sort of player he is signing. You can't go around dropping £20+ million on players and decide you don't fancy them then after ONE game.

No idea what's going on with Martial either. An injury is the only logical explanation.

We need a win, but let's not forget that City are in the same position as us, maybe even worse. They failed to win their last 5 games.
I have to disagree. The teams and the fact it's at Old Trafford puts the pressure on United for me. City haven't won in 5 but do still sit top of the table, which is a hard place to find yourself under too much pressure.

Unfair on Mhiki, he played 45mins in a big game when he wasn't even fit (Didn't play the international before the game due to injury) then subsequently was out for injury after the game too.

If Mou is punishing him for that game, that is harsh. All the while Pogba is getting off scot free letting playing just run past him while he jogs around the pitch.

If Mkhity isnt fit then he isnt fit. Mourinho certainly shouldnt rush him into a game just because the fans are eager to see him.

At least Mourinho is happy, I hope he spanked the sh*t out of the players from last time.
