Did Trump win the popular vote too?
She is ahead by a little.
Did Trump win the popular vote too?
Yeah, it's not an argument I've ever heard before. Obama won because he could turn people out to vote.
Just by talking to people who actually vote. Don't read any polls or anything, this election proved what the polls are.
No, it's one of the ones who's name you wouldn't recognize as a former president unless you're a nerd
I burst out laughing at my desk
Trump didn't run as a conservative. He's nowhere near ideologically pure and I think you and your ilk are making a mistake in thinking you will get all that you want.
How long before he brings back slavery? No stopping Trump making America great again; the Repubs have the house, the senate, and the oval office. There can be no excuses (though I'll bet they'll find a lot!).
So, if it doesn't turn out well for the poor white folks that voted for him who can they & the Repubs blame?
The big problem is that whatever shit they serve up; it'll take the Democrats 4 - 6 years or more to clean it up again.
I know we won't get all we want, you never do, but we would have gotten a lot less iif Clinton had won.
Maybe this will spur Michelle Obama.
yeah, except the last 2 polls were correct in picking Obama. This incessant need to rewrite history is mental.Just by talking to people who actually vote. Don't read any polls or anything, this election proved what the polls are.
Merkel is on her way out and is as much to blame for Trump's victory as anyone. You think the public image and international relations of America has been damaged under Bush? This will be thrice as worse. That really is my biggest concern, that the translatlantic relationsship is done for for the foreseeable future.
Merkel just reminded Trunp that he has to respect democracy of free speach like you are some third world shithole. Diplomatically, that is the equivalent to a kick into the face. Our foreign Departement has been actively seeking third level Trump advisors because they don't want to work with anyone even remotely near him.
Most ironically, the deplorables just voted for their own doom if Trump gets his will with taxes and Obamacare. I couldn't care less, as far as I'm concerned the whole of West Virginia can die in a puddle of their own vomit, but the stupidity really is amazing.
And will surely be rewarded with a post.I doubt that. He was a campaign operative.
I wonder if things would have played out any differently if both teams had accurate polls and campaigned accordingly. Probably not.Apparently, the American public surprised even the Trump internal polling. KellyAnne and team thought he may lose by 30 EVs.

I think he will get a second term.If I was a betting man, I would be betting that he won't see out his 4 years.
Cuba to launch military exercises to prepare for ‘range of enemy actions’
Announcement of five days of nationwide maneuvers and tactical exercises across the country came nearly simultaneously with Trump’s surprise win
At the end of the day - People did not go out and vote. They were turned off the election
I like krugmann.Let’s look at the bright side of life: Krugmann is fuming. Negatives: Trump might push for policies that Krugmann loves. Positives: Krugmann will continue to sulk, because of partisanship.
Has this been posted? Saw in the Moments on twitter.
Millennial vote is basically unanimous.
I think he will get a second term.
I like krugmann.
Enough didn't turn up. Same with Brexit.
It's shitty that in most developed countries, elections are being decided by the declining part of the demographic because millennials won't turn up.
Hope he doesn't. A divided country cannot afford officials like him.Not necessarily. Trump used Bannon to get what he wanted. Now that he has it, he isn't obliged to do anything for him. He may give him a post, or he may not.
Greens for sure, but any Gary Johnson supporters I know are at least as likely to break Republican as Democrat. Trump maybe a little different as he's not your typical Republican candidate, but still, I don't think third parties are to blame/credit for this.
Enough milennials. So nothing like Brexit then?
I like krugmann.

No way. Unless he changes considerably, minorities will feck him in 2020. btw, there's still an open lawsuit against him. He may not even survive his first year of that one goes against him.
I remember being teased by some friends for being a football fans because of how ridiculous is the tribalism of supporting a bunch of people because they happen to wear the right colour. I kept arguing that this human nature and that at least if we are going to be idiots, it's better than it's in football as it's relatively harmless. Needless to say, I have been feeling quite smug as of late.I am still amazed how much this election was about one party gaining power over the other one and what measures the losing party should/could take to gain that power back. It's like we are talking about 2 gangs. So little focus on genuine problems in the US and how to make life better for as many people as possible. I blame both parties for this.
Enough milennials.
“After correcting for over-reporting [people always say they vote more than they do], we found that the likely turnout of 18- to 24-year-olds was 70% – just 2.5% below the national average – and 67% for 25- to 29-year-olds.
I'm talking about the millennials portion of the vote.Voter turn out in the presidency was terrible, but i'm sure the Brexit vote was a record turnout?
I could be wrong.
This feels so fecking surreal. A reality tv "star" being made POTUS. Anyone old enough to remember Reagan getting in? Did that feel anything like as weird?
