    Hoping for this XI:

    de Gea
    Valencia - Jones - Blind - Shaw
    Carrick
    Herrera - Pogba
    Mata - Rashford - Martial

Should be good enough to get a win. Can't wait for the game:devil:
Is it any surprise we're nowhere near the top of the league? That is one pretty bang average side.

You're all going about this wrong. What do Arsenal not like? Unexpected surprises.

Lets shake things up, new formation, fresh starts, and recalling some legends to give them horrifying flashbacks.

    Romero

    Fosu Mensah-Rojo-Shaw

    Lingard-Keane-Pogba-Giggs

    Mata

    Rashford-Ruud.

    Guaranteed win. Thank me later.

    I fear for us tbh.
It's one of those games that might be buried before we start playing well.

Perhaps so, but there's only so many permutations of the horrific 4-2-3-1 formation I can read in this thread with the only variation being whether lingard or martial starts.

Always refreshing to shake things up*

*I do not condone 'shaking things up' by including strikers, left wingers and CDM's in their 40's.

did Micky play internationals at all? is he match fit? would love to see him feature at some point.

All we need is Carrick to start and it will increase my confidence levels!

    De Gea

    Darmian
    Jones
    Rojo
    Blind

    Carrick

    Pogba
    Herrera

    Mata
    Rashford
    Lingaard

We will win this fellas, I have a good feeling. won't be a drubbing but a edgey 2-1 win with Pogman and Rashford netting.

Wenger confirms that Santi is still out and Bellerin is out for 4 weeks.

Says they will assess Sanchez tomorrow.

We need a great performance from the left wing now, thats where we can really hurt them.

Was so looking forward to the weekend where the premier league was back on, but now that this is getting closer, i think i was happy when there were no games and no United game to disappoint me again.

Not looking forward to this game at all. Knowing Jose's record against Arsenal, this game should be easy, but things and times have changed. Arsenal might win this 0-2 or 1-2.

I fancy us for this game, lot of missing people for both sides, but our midfield should be able to dominate Coquelin and co. I see Ozil going missing, as per, in the big games.

Just hope also that Jose won't go in this game to fearful. He should play our strenght and not trying to neutralize Arsenal's.

I mean it would be the easy option to pack the midfield against Ozil with Fellaini-Pogba-Herrera, or playing Lingard on the wing in order to block Sanchez or Iwobi.

I want us to have a proper game, break them physically and be ruthless for once. I think that we should have the players to win this game. We will suffer defensively for sure. They'll have more the ball, they'be quicker and get probably more chances, but I'm sure that our midfield can control the game, Pogba and Herrera can cause them issue when we get the ball back.

We'll have to pay attention when we'll loose the ball. They're so good in transition and they usually score a lot on these situation. Just hope that we'll up for the game in the stand too

Yep, Blind at left back I hope so he can link with whoever plays LW.
Daley Blind vs Theo Walcott ? Hope not. I'd like to have Daley CB especially if Sanchez is playing rather than Giroud.

Blind would provide us a good first ball in defense, to Carrick the second one. That would be great in order to ease our defense

Have heard the same worry about Blind numerous times, e.g. Mane at Anfield but he kept him quiet. I think Jose will keep Rojo and Jones together then it's between Shaw/Blind for LB.

True, but the game at Anfield was different. For more than 60 minutes our defenders played 30m from De Gea, it was so tight that Mane couldn't take any advantage.

Here at home, I just hope that our full backs will help us offensively and so will play higher than expected

Expecting an entertaining game - last year's match at Old Trafford, when Rashford scored twice, was a cracker. A draw would suit City but a United win would be alright for me personally as well - if Arsenal can have any doubt cast in their minds around this time of year that'd be fun to watch.
    De Gea
    Valencia - Jones - Blind - Shaw
    Herrera - Carrick - Pogba
    Mata - Rashford - Martial

    vs.

    Ozil - Sanchez - Walcott
    Xhaka - Coquelin - Ramsey
    Monreal - Koscielny - Holding - Mustafi
    Cech
    I'm going 2-1 for United.

I actually fear the effect losing this would have on Mourinho. Could you imagine if last season's match at the Emirates was with Mou instead of LVG?

This is a very interesting interview with Arsene about the game and rivalry with Mourinho:

    http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-after-arsenal-rivalry-with-manchester-united

After watching him, I think he has a far more open attitude than usual, talking quite freely about past encounters almost with fondness/regret and I think maybe he is getting emotional and this really is his last season...?
100% his last season. He's pushing right on in age, out of contract in the summer, and you just can't see him signing on again.
Not sure if he has one more job in him. Maybe international?

A bigger game. Spurs after their away trip in Bulgaria during the week.
I talked about international breaks and you brought up champions league away . We've played City and Pool right after international breaks and we are about to add Arsenal to the list and your rebuttal was Arsenal played Ludogorets before Spurs? You know what.....Never mind.

I dont want to jinx it by predicting results so I will predict other events

    My predictions:

After the spat with Dier, Harrera will come into this spoiling for a fight and will spend the game elbowing Ramsey because his hair reminds him of Dier’s.

Mourinho will start Mkhitaryan on the bench but tell him to start warming up early. Everyone’s hopes will be lifted for a Mkhi second half appearance. However in the second half Mourinho will go on to bring Memphis, Shneiderlin and even Romero will come in to give De gea a rest. Mkhi will be forced to make another interview saying how happy he is at the club.

If we loose, Mourinho will blame Zlatan for not powering through the suspension and Shaw for being Shaw.

If Lingard scores a lot on the caf will just complain about his celebration before even congratulating him.

If Pogba scores he will not celebrate, but just look at the camera and nod.

Also…u will see a sickening amount of the mannequin challenge celebration through out the leagues this weekend
