Think this game may get called off.
To be fair, it's not even their pitch. They don't play at home, due to the tensions in eastern Ukraine. Can't play on that.
That cnut from Zorya calling Manchester a shit hole yet they can't stop their pitch from looking like one down the local park.
8am UK time I think chief (according to daily mail).Has the pitch inspection taken place? Was supposed to be 8am, and its 8.22 there. currently -8 there
yeah 10am local time.8am UK time I think chief (according to daily mail).
I think the Spurs game will be postponed in that case but knowing FA I won't hold my breath. Then you have the problem if it does have to be played in the next couple of days it puts the Spurs game in jeopardy. The players might not get back until dinnertime Saturday. Then we are away on Wednesday at Palace. If we are forced to play this game and then the Spurs game 24 hrs later, but the reserves out in the Spurs game.
Well if they are used to playing in that weather why does their winter break start this weekend.Play the game, same conditions for both teams. Bunch of p*ssies

It's still the same conditions for both teams. No excusesWell if they are used to playing in that weather why does their winter break start this weekend.
Looking like it could be on, people from UEFA say pitch has improved over night. They've been blowing hot air onto the pitch under covers and temp expected to rise during the day.cant read tweets at work. Off or on?
It will, but when you've got half a team out next weekend due to ankle/hamstring injuries, you've kind of got your excuses there. It's still the same conditions for both teams. No excuses

Look if we hadnt of F8cked up in the earlier games we could have gone here and played a reserve side. We have gone from consistently and competitevely playing Europe's elite in the Champions league to struggling against the minnows of the Europa League. I have zero sympathy for the players, staff or anyone else.It will, but when you've got half a team out next weekend due to ankle/hamstring injuries, you've kind of got your excuses there.
Agreed. No doubt Mourinho will use this as a shield but we shot ourselves in the foot by throwing the first game vs Feyenoord (Giving Fenerbache their dues because Turkey away is trickier).Look if we hadnt of F8cked up in the earlier games we could have gone here and played a reserve side. The bolded part is true. Although I wouldn’t be any more comfortable at reserve players getting injured. I’ve played on snowy pitches, but the worst are the icy, hard pitches. If you have zero sympathy for our players who might get injured, we support the club in really different waysLook if we hadnt of F8cked up in the earlier games we could have gone here and played a reserve side. not expected to get above 3 during the day, real feel -5 , at the time of the game 1 and real feel -8.Tweet

Absolutely. 0-0 and no injuries would suffice. The Spurs match on Sunday will be difficult as it is.not expected to get about 3 during the day, real feel -5 , at the time of the game 1 and real feel -8.
This should be an easy win, Zorya are more used to the condition that we are.
We are in for a difficult nigh.
I would take the 0-0 and no injuries in a heart beat.Absolutely. 0-0 and no injuries would suffice. The Spurs match on Sunday will be difficult as it is.
And that's the reason why I said yesterday, this will never be called off, unless there was a torrential snow and it was impossible to kick a ball.Calling the game off , would be a nightmare for UEFA and the clubs..
While that's true, going away to strange European games are difficult enough sometimes. Add in the poor pitch and cold weather our players will need to remain professional to get this done.I know the conditions are appalling but I can't believe people are saying they'd take a draw. We're playing Zorya fecking Luhansk
I dont want a draw but feel it is all we are capable of especially considering our appalling away form in Europe never mind our League form. Hope I am wrong and we stuff the feckers though.I know the conditions are appalling but I can't believe people are saying they'd take a draw. We're playing Zorya fecking Luhansk
Yep. Even with a rotated team, we should be able to do them.I know the conditions are appalling but I can't believe people are saying they'd take a draw. We're playing Zorya fecking Luhansk
I think it’s more ”played footie in my childhood” vs "Professional footballers who the clubs pay huge amounts and don’t want them injured”.Ok maybe I don't get it. I played football on terrible grounds my whole childhood. Only when I moved to Japan did a team I was in cancel a match because of pitch conditions. I still think it's often over the top.
Is this a First world vs third world thing?
Ok I get that. So it's more the club than the players.I think it’s more ”played footie in my childhood” vs "Professional footballers who the clubs pay huge amounts and don’t want them injured”.
I would think so, yes. The players probably want to play as that’s what they love. But I can understand José being a bit worried. Anyhow, the match will be played, let’s hope that no-one gets injured.Ok I get that. So it's more the club than the players.
I have heard some players complain about the pitch and I often think ... Just get on with it. But maybe they have more to loose if they get injured.I would think so, yes.
