They've always been flat track bullies.Arsenal are so good at winning their home games against smaller clubs.
We scored but failed to beat themArsenal easily beating a team United failed to score against at home. Nothing surprising here
Wrong it was one all you peasant.Arsenal easily beating a team United failed to score against at home. Nothing surprising here
Our record last couple of years against the big sides has been decent.Arsenal easily beating a team United failed to score against at home. Nothing surprising here
I just find it odd when managers try and play full backs at CB. Is he realistically the best option out of what's available?Sagna has played CB for Arsenal and City in the past...
Sagna always did well when we we're forced to use him as Cb at Arsenal. Sagna was always about defending first most anyways.I just find it odd when managers try and play full backs at CB. Is he realistically the best option out of what's available?
Almost got it. Just four goals away.that went well
The more I see it the more I see 3 at the back with one of them pushed into midfield cover.Neither of Zabaleta or Sagna can play at LB though so you'd assume one is at CB.
Very good in the air too Sagna.Sagna always did well when we we're forced to use him as Cb at Arsenal. Sagna was always about defending first most anyways.

Ah yes I was thinking of Burnley. 1-1 is our MO these daysWrong it was one all you peasant.
We're probably reading the team sheet upside down knowing Guardiola. Bravo's up front. The more I see it the more I see 3 at the back with one of them pushed into midfield cover.
Wait and see I suppose
I think City will beat them quite comfortably.....I think City will get at least a point here.
Fair enough. I didn't even realise he'd played at CB that much tbh. I'm expecting a defensive masterclass from him now.Great win for us after going a goal down. Ignoring some of the above posts we have actually struggled to get wins at home this season, it's away where our form has been strongest. Thought it was going to be another draw after the first, but now we're top of the league!
And @Klopper76 - Sagna really is a good centre back, always played well there for us, and probably should have done it more. Convinced he would have been a better option there than Kolarov for them so far this season.
Nasty....I think City will beat them quite comfortably.....
Comments like this make me laugh. They've always been flat track bullies.
Sagna is actually a pretty good CBPep still hasn't learned that you can very rarely afford to play full-backs or CMs as centre halves in this league.
Its okay Leicester willEvery home team got 3 today. Lucky we werent playing to feck up that stat
Probably better than Kolarov, for sure. Pretty short for a CB and doesn’t have the power, jump and reading of the game like other short ones; Cannavaro and likes.Sagna is actually a pretty good CB
We also dominated the Arsenal match or did you forget that too?Arsenal easily beating a team United failed to score against at home. Nothing surprising here
Nasty....
I think we do this quite a lot but there is never a runner there. It boggles my mind when the striker can see that the winger is struggling to create space for the cross and will only get the ball to the front post, yet doesn't make the run. Zlatan is lazy in this respect. There's only Hernandez that consistenly made these runs for us.I wonder if we should start crossing more towards the first post. I just watched the goals from the Arsenal game, and Walcott's goal is not something we see United score that often.
We fell out and ultimately lost the title last year because we couldn't take care or score against smaller teams at home lol. They've always been flat track bullies.
What we should do first is that when the ball goes into a crossing position, at least 2 players get into the box, maybe 3, one at each post, one of at the penalty spot, and a 4th one in support outside of the box. As long as you don't do that, defending against that is too easy.I wonder if we should start crossing more towards the first post. I just watched the goals from the Arsenal game, and Walcott's goal is not something we see United score that often.
