Huge, huge win. With all the teams above us winning it was absolutely essential we came away with 3 points. The standard of refereeing in general has been diabolical this season and it very nearly cost us yet again, and but for a moment of brilliance from Pogba and Ibra it would have.

Nevertheless that's 3 wins on the spin and I'm getting the sense that Jose now knows his best 11 and I'm expecting some form of consistency among the players to develop. Our next few games look very favourable as well.

Bailly was great at RB and really don't know what Rooney's injury are you talking about...

Don't be so bleak cause it wasn't bleak.
He was good but he should have subbed him off the moment Bailly first felt pain and discomfort.

When Rooney was coming out it looked like he was limping a bit.

We made quite a bit mistakes and we weren't as creative as we were previously.

3 pts it's what counts tho.

I don't think we can play those two together in a front 3 - it was devoid of any width and pace. Mata was invisible tonight - he's so much better as a no. 10, but then that doesn't play to Pogbas strengths...
Long term I have said I don't see Mata and Rooney in a Jose EPL winning side but right here right now I agree they should be used very sparingly together but in the first half when the side is fresh both of them are ok but once the game gets heated... And sides start to get on the ball, we start looking very easy to play against.

Not going to follow the game via the Matchday Thread again. Some of the stuff spouted in there tonight was embarrassing.

Good win at a tough ground! Two in a row. Keep going lads!

We lacked dynamism in attack, Ibra was making some lovely lay-offs into the inside channels and the lack of runners off him was evident, as was the lack of anyone that could run with the ball in the 2 WF positions. Thankfully we have a magic man that can pull a chance out of nothing and Ibra capped off a class performance with a quality finish. Say what you like about big names but players like Pogba and Ibra become big names by impacting games like they did tonight, they pulled us over the finish line.

Nearly ruined by horrendous reffing
The refs are doing everything in their power to stop us and I still believe we are being given shaft.
Yes, Rojo could've been sent off, but then so could Cabaye.
I seriously think that Refs need to be looked at - are they on the take?

In any case, a win is a win and I will take 3 points. No complaints (other than the ref) from me.

Football isn't art, don't care if we were garbage. We won. That's all that matters right now.

I was impressed with Zlatan moving himself to midfield after he scored...it showed to me how much he cares!

Solid performance if a bit uninspiring. Their goal came from almost the only moment they had all game, while we dominated possession and did lots of probing without creating a tonne of chances, so we deserved the win.

Obvious lack of pace in the team, but then Valencia, Mkhi and Martial would all have played if fit/available and would have added loads of pace to the first team, so not something to worry about long term.

Harder test coming vs West Brom though so improvement still needed.

True!

Most of the time many here are really behind anyway as they're watching on streams.

I was working tonight and trying to follow but the stuff being posted was just ludicrous at times.

Some people need to support a side like Wigan or Villa for a season to realise how good we've actually got it.

Anyway rant over. Good result, I am happy.

I just had a lovely day with my father who I've probably only seen a handful of times the past decade, and the only football shirt I noticed were kids wearing United ones, so I'm going to take that as a sign that we'll have a good game tonight.
I never had any doubt :wenger:

Was a close call between Pogba and Carrick for MotM here but Pogba gets it as he got the goal and game winning assist. We were very good overall I thought, the 20 minute spell after half time until we conceded the only bad part but still dominant aside from that. Rashford I don't see the point of these days, he needs a spell out of the side. Just loses the ball every time he touches it these days. No complaints about anyone else really.

Great result, with the exception of the FA cup final I haven't celebrated a goal like that for years. Felt like more than just a goal and another victory.

Bit worried about the WBA match now, they are in red hot form and some of our players today really ran their socks off. Carrick surely can't play, and Zlatan will be tired from this match.

Winning aside which im incredibly pleased about that referee and linesman shouldn't be in charge of another premier league game this season. Shocking for BOTH teams got every major decision wrong.

Mourinho's post-match interview was absolutely brilliant. Really enjoyed watching that. Defended Rojo and brought up other tackles against us that have gone unpunished.

He also refused to be drawn on the refereeing decisions, despite being repeatedly baited by that cnutish journalist.

Excellent.

I don't think Pogba is the man of the match. To me, his performance is average. Many misplaced pass, unable to pick up players. A good win, let's string some wins together and see where we stand come January.

Considering the ref calls tonight it felt like beating City or Pool. Yes, get in!

Pogba was diabolic; either utter shite or world class plays.
Herrera worked his socks off, Carrick was good too. Jones and Rojo pairing immense.

Ecstatic for the 3 points. I think it will be a very important moment in our season because it could have been a case of "omg just back to how it's been all season" and we pulled out the win and know we can go on a run.

Also, anyone have a clip of the Rojo tackle? Missed the first half and not seen the highlights.

The refs are doing everything in their power to stop us and I still believe we are being given shaft.

Just think after Fergie, refs seem to have gone out of their way to show they are not biased towards United and this season it's been a lot worse. Just hope at some point this season "it balances out" as they say because we could use that luck
