thought I would post this here, so funny, but not sure how true it is.
It’s pretty easy to just google the quote and see there’s no source for it. I guess it’s fun business for some to add random funny stories to pictures though.

IMO, the team that loses this game will probably not finish in the top 4. That's how big is is.
If we lose this, our momentum and confidence will fly out of the window. If Liverpool lose, it will just confirm that they're in a rut and will drop more points in the coming weeks.

Rubbish. This is an unimportant game for Liverpool. Expected points dropped at Old Trafford, not really rocket surgery. What we need is for match fitness for Hendo, Matip and Coutinho right now. Then we need to ensure we win our tough home games. Nothing changes for top four unless we mess up aforementioned home games.

Utd lose/draw and its still no change. You remain 6th, albeit a few more points adrift, but nothing you can't make up with the way you're playing. Utd players won't just crumple into a heap and call it a day on the season after this game.

Nah, I'm not buying that at all. We have quite a faviorable little run after this game. No way this match decides it.

This. If we lose it will be a serious step back in our top 4 challenge but to say it would all be over is simply wrong.

Agree for the most part but come on, if you are a title challenging team you cannot have any planned losses. Of course Liverpool count on the chance of taking 3 points here. It's midtable teams that plan on losing points at bigger and better opponents home ground. YOUR A MIDTABLE TEAM LOL

I agree that the game isn't make or break for top four this season, but to say it's unimportant is really pushing it. United-Liverpool is always important, it's a six-pointer and we need to avoid losing at all costs.

You're far too preoccupied with positions rather than points. If we lose this game we go 8 points behind you and you knock our momentum. If we win this game we slip to two points behind you and knock your confidence further just before you play Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester, Tottenham and Man City in the space of 9 Premier League games with an FA Cup replay and FL Cup Second Leg crammed in there too.

Make absolutely no mistake, this is a very big fixture for you right now. It doesn't mean anything if we stay in 6th position after a win in January.

Maybe he meant rocket science. :D
Or Maybe he meant brain surgery!
Whatever it is, it's not Brain Science.

Its a play on brain surgery and rocket science to emphasise the point. Commonly used among younger people so if you had to ask then you know your place on the hipster scale. ;)

You come out with some complete garbage at times. United v Liverpool is never "unimportant"
Unimportant in terms of long term threat to top four position. Not unimportant because of history of the two clubs. I hate losing against you.

The moon gave me flowers for funerals to come.
Mourinho will be meticulous for this. Much more confident going into the big games with him at the helm.

Be inclined to play Rooney at some point. He'll be highly motivated to break the record against this lot. Could be a masterstroke taking him off early v Hull.
I actually thought the record was a hindrance to the team s we had a couple of scoring opportunities against Hull where we picked the wrong option in setting Rooney up for his "goal" when there were better options to score.

Guess we will see,to break it against liverpool would be nice though.

We're looking increasingly inept without the likes of Matip Henderson and Mane, Couts back is a big plus but the newer players being out/unavailable is a big blow as its virtually the same team that finished mid-table without them. Not dipping in to the market for someone who can replicate what Mane brings to the side is unfathomable to me, its quite obvious how important he is to the way we play its not just a short term squad investment but a long-term one.
Not sure Klopp and his entourage missed that.
In regards to Sunday I honestly have no clue how we'll line up. Hopefully A Firmino Coutinho Origi frontline but its possible we'll push Lallana in to the front three again but that leaves us threadbeare and extremely weakened in MF.

I hope Jose doesn't play for a draw in this game as he usually plays a defensive team in the big games. We have to win to catch up with the top 4 so I would go for

    De gea

    Valencia-----Smalling-----Jones-----Blind/Darmian

    Carrick

    Herrera----Pogba

    Mata--------Ibra--------Mkhi

I can see Liverpool attacking us from the off and scoring first. It will then be a case of us struggling to get the equaliser.

Ok I'll give it a go for a laugh.

    Liverpool positives:

    - We're still the top scorers in the league.
    - We're five points from top despite injuries and an apparent dip in form.
    - Klopp has a great record against the other top six sides, losing just once since arriving in England.
    - We are going into this five points ahead of United.
    - We've conceded three goals in our last five league games, keeping three clean sheets in the process (with our best CB out injured).
    - Chances are that the only serious absentee from this game will be Mane.
    - Fellaini.

I'll be honest, I'm not convinced myself but I gave it a go.
Okay okay, some good points, there. I will give you that.

Top scorers in the league - 48 goals, from 20 games is mighty impressive, though. DDG will be busy, but recently you haven't been scoring at such a high rate.
5 points from the top/5 points ahead of MUFC...I can't argue against that, though MUFC have the best recent form, CFC excepted and a lot of your goals came early on in the season.
conceded 3 goals in your last 5. Sure. But we have conceded just 2 goals in our last 5 games (all comps) :p
Fellaini - DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON THIS ONE

I am expecting a fantastically heated encounter. Jose has already asked fans to get fired up for this game. He'll tell his players this, too and Klopp doesn't need an excuse to get fired up. ;)
And lets not forget M.Oliver - he'll be itching to send some players off.

BTW. is Coutinho expected to start? He is the one LFC player who I genuinely believe can score 1 or 2 Worldies, which even DDG cannot stop.

Have you seen our fixtures post Sunday? With the City game probably getting pushed back it's only Chelsea at home that we wouldn't be big favourites to win for a long period of time.
Looking at the table right now, we've already played the 3 best from outside of the top 6 away so in theory the hardest of those ties have already been played.
This Sunday is massive for Liverpool.

I don't think Jose will setup too defensively but I'd like us to make the game a bit scrappy if they seem up for it early on. Take the sting out of it with a few fouls and break up the rhythm of the game early on until we are fully settled.

Martial and Mickey-T flanking Zlatan and running at them all game! Would love it!! Can't see us losing this game... Mata could easily play though and bring martial on later to do damage! So excited for this game

Winning goal from Pogba and old Trafford will explode haha :)

He will be motivated, but does he possess the skill to shoot and score?
His last goal came off his knee and I do not believe that was intentional.
He also had plenty of shots which were wildly off-target.
I think the last good goal he scored was in the EL, when he received the ball, back to goal and shot the ball straight into the net from distance. Now if he could do that every game...

I don't see that at all. At OT and with the crowd behind you I envisage a similar first 30 mins as at Anfield. However no team has been able to keep that up and in most we gradually then take control in the second half. It will be very interesting to see how this one plays out.

I'd put good money on this being the team. Only question mark is whether Matip is ready or not. `if not then Klavan steps in, he's done well every time he's played .. bar the Southampton game ... and he's good in the air too. I know three players are just back from injury but if you were ever going to take a gamble then this match would be it.

    ---------------Mignolet---------------
    Clyne----Matip --Lovren--Milner
    --------------Hendo------------------
    --------Lallana----------Wijnaldum----
    Origi---------Firmino-----Coutinho--

Only 3 positions up for debate: Damian or Blind at LB, Rojo (if fit) or Smalling at CB, and 2 out of Mata, Mhkitariyan and Martial for the wide forward positions. The rest pick themselves

    I'd go with

    DDG
    Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Blind
    Carrick, Pogba, Herrera
    Mata, Ibra, Martial

Game plan is to come out fast, hard, hit the wings and shoot on sight. Get the crowd going early and be 2-0 by 25 mins.

I agree. I think United and Liverpool will both finish in the top 4. It will be Arsenal and Spurs to drop out IMO.

Blind is a huge liability if he plays left back since their front four all have pace. When is Shaw back btw?

This is often said about Blind but has he ever been caught out due to pace while playing at LB? He reads the game so well he usually stops the danger before it gets the that stage. I can't remember him getting skinned like Darmian often does when playing there.
