Best post Ferguson performance

Every player a minimum of 8 out of 10

By far mourinho's best moment as Utd manager

He got it spot on

And can people now please stop slating the squad players. Fellaini, young, Lingard and even Darmian all proved their worth today
Darmian has been excellent the last couple of games. Is looking more like an Italian defender now!

When we play like a Mourinho team quick on the counter, dirty, winning the ball in close quarters and just harassing the opponent we look absolutely fantastic.

Mourinho pulled a classic Fergie today.

Teamsheet met with disdain from Utd supporters. Team performs excellent and grabs fairly routine win.

Perfect. Our 1st win against the top 4 this season as well in the league.

Edit: Forgot Tottenham. So 2nd win.
Exactly how I felt when it was clear how much Mourinho had nailed it. How many times did we scratch our heads with regards to a Fergie line-up, only to find out that his selections were flawless and won us the match?

It was great. Mourinho prepared the team very well, tactically and mentally.

believer that Sancho will turn it around
The best part of Herrera man marking Hazard as a de facto RB was how much it freed up Valencia to get forward while still giving us the opportunity to double mark him when he did get the ball in position. As great as Herrera was, and he was truly great in this match, Hazard never got an opportunity to isolate him.

Reminded me of the 2-0 at anfield with Chelsea playing the likes of Kalas vs an in form SAS and destroying their title hopes. Did we just do that to Chelsea?

Imagine thinking he's finished as a manager after this tactical masterclass with Ashley Young, Lingard and Fellaini on the pitch, they played their hearts out for him and that shows the difference. He wants his players to die for the club and we're seeing the results of that, if fannys don't want to put in the required effort they can feck off, I'd prefer seeing warriors on the pitch like this every week than more talented sooks.

We defended well, had enough people infront of the goal whenever chelsea had the ball and we put alot of pressure them making it difficult to create anything and steal the ball from them high up, resulting in chances on the counter attack.

We can play this kind of football with a fast mobile striker upfront like Rashford and dynamic midfielders like Herrera. But not with Zlatan and also players like Carrick and Rooney are not suited for this kind of gameplay.

It is also the reason why we havent seen this kind of football all season until today.

This.

He wants men. He wants people he can rely on.

Tactical masterclass indeed. Conte wasn't prepared for it and neither were any of his players.

Haven't enjoyed a game like this in a long time. Every one of our players today deserves massive credit for that performance.

Conte switched the wingbacks, changed the personnel and altered the system but found no joy whatsoever. Mourinho had him on toast today.

Best I've seen United play in ages. Possibly since Fergie left. That Fellaini - Pogba - Herrera midfield today was terrific from you guys. Also, pleasure to see Rashford looking more like himself. The game today was ideal for him - he has the making of a good striker if Jose keeps playing him there. Now I must say that Chelsea struggled massively today because we have no depth in our squad. We have no real substitutes for our wingbacks, and as soon as Alonso wasn't available I knew this would be an absolute struggle to win for Chelsea.

Questions must be asked though - where has this United been hiding? We need you guys to do us a favour against Spurs, but they're a much more difficult team to face than we are at the moment.

Well we are a posession based side and not letting opponents create is normal when we press high with herrera. What was great was the fluid flexible side there who changed from 352 to 433 to 451 in the game .

Conte's chelsea were schooled tactically just like a european game like a juventus side or conte's other posession based teams.

Can we put to bed this assertion that Chelsea and Spurs are miles better than us or the other teams in the top six.

All the teams in the top six are close. Now Chelsea still should win it this year, but next year, there will be a different winner. I can guarantee that.

But still chelsea will be there , because they have right philosophy for consistancy , we need to buy perfect player we need to improve in attack and midfeild and defense.

At the end of the day arsenal is below us.

We are potentially on equal pts with the scouse.

We could end up 3rd which is good (also still a far strecth)

We're not as bad as we thought we will be on the season end.

This is for me the end of Conte's 3-4-3 . Become easy to counter .

Play with 3-4-3 too , Pack the flanks with players to close on their wing backs and Hazard/Pedro , put a one especially to be on Eden one on one . High pressing on their back 3 to prevent them from building the play . This will leave Matic and Kante isolated in the midfield and they are horrible in building the play or attacking .

All teams knew this by now . Next season won't be very bright for Chelsea if they remained with the same tactics.
Nah its not the end , We have flexible players who can play wing backs and forwards too at the same time and the ability to press high via herrera . Not everyone has this .

Sorta similar circumstances to the Gerrard slip match. Played a weakened team that day as well and everyone was calling it a Jose masterclass, iirc.

Mourinho was the real MOTM today. Nice to see Conte completely outclassed tactically.

The guy didn't scream today and still can't almost talk to the press. He's almost starting to cry.

Yep, can't argue with that. I was one of the first to rant about the line up when I saw it but that was a brilliant plan from Jose and it came off perfectly.

Finally, we had everything, movement, grit, determination, pace. A joy to watch, we were better in every single department on the pitch

I don't think we destroyed their title hopes at all

They are 4 points on clear on Tottenham and have much easier shedule left than spurs, they mainly play at Stamford bridge and they are a powerhouse at home and the most difficult opponent left for them is Everton while spurs still play Arsenal and United. Chelsea have been consistent enough and didn't make any slip ups all season that they can afford this lesser period and losing a difficult away game at OT, that will not end up costing them the title. However they are not home clear yet, if they slip up again and Spurs keep winning it could still go wrong for them after all but than it is not just this game that will have cost them but a series of bad games.
