Watch any of the replays, both players moved their head in. I think Fellaini thought he was going to rest his forehead against Aguero's. But Mr. Aguero had already made plans to flop. Aguero 1 - Fellaini 0. Red or yellow to both players would have been fair.
Had a poor game, but perhaps didn't decide the game. Was bad when we broke on the left wing and Fellaini had the ball and he blew up right away for nothing. Fellaini's a bit dumb there but obviously Aguero has sold it. Thought we should have got a lot more free kicks especially in the first half.

Herrera dragging down Sterling when beaten on the left wing (your right first half) could have been a yellow. Pretty sure Martial did it too at one stage when we were breaking. The ref was poor no doubt. As I said had be booked Otamendi early on like he should have neither team would have been able to turn the game into what it was.

He was god awful in the first half, waving off blatant fouls. Probably the worst ref to have if you are playing away from home.
Thought he had a poor game but he was right to send off Fellaini. Pure stupidity by the player.
The point is they need to address it, to be quite honest. 'Referees discretion' doesn't cut it when it is so inconsistently applied and the difference between winning and losing is so great.
Atkinson should be demoted.
Minutes before the Fellaini card Otamendi stopped a United counter by fouling Mkhi and Atkinson didn't give a yellow for that. Not sure how these rules work anymore

Whats nuts is I'd genuinely consider that a decent Atkinson performance compared to usual because he resisted the urge to give a soft penalty.
