Welcome Victor! Very happy with this...Smalling and Jones too injury prone and just not good enough for first choice.

If he turns out to be half as good as Eric Bailey then damn what a partnership we have next season at the back!

Great stuff. In a world of crazy transfer fees, signing a player for £30m seems strangely refreshing.
Let's hope Bailly and Lindelof can form a solid partnership.

Great news. Mou doesn't mess up when it comes to defenders.

All the muppets that cried over VVD in the transfer forum will soon change their minds when they see this guy play for us. At half the price being quoted for VVD, Lindelof will prove to be an excellent signing for us. Welcome aboard, Victor!!

£30 million is a great price in today's market for a young potentially world class defender

Great bit of business ahhh I'm so happy.

Solid signing which makes a lot of sense. Happy with this one. Three to go with Morata lined up next?

Never seen him, who's he most like in terms of play style?

Finally made a signing get in! Lindelof and Bailly have huge potential as a partnersgip. Especially as Mourinho has a great eye for center backs IMO. Might take him a bit to settle in as he is young and more a ball player center back, but I'm confident he'll be a good signing.

Hope he's better a football than writing satisfactory endings.

I have only watched a bit of Lindelof, but from what it seems, he excels at reading a play's progression and playing a sort of "total football." He clearly is good with the ball at his feet and should be a good partner for Bailey.

Can anyone confirm or deny this? Moreover, how does this signing affect the way United will play next season in both the PL and Europe?

Is he the ball-playing centre back I've been wishing for since Rio left?

Welcome Victor, the first piece of the jigsaw in this window. I think he will do well, he is at a great age and can do wonders if he grows and progresses. I also think it was important that we got him and not keane. He looks a much better player from back than keane, with much more pace too.

Assuming he was no 1 target on Mourinho defender wish list ahead of Keane and van dijk?
