Pogba, Zlatan, Mikhi and now (more than likely) Lukaku

You wont be laughing in a year or two when he wants another couple of huge fees for arranging transfers and starts throwing the tables across Carrington

Not that Raiola isn’t a great man or anything, but I do think this place lacks a couple of appreciation threads that should have been made before this one:

Nissin Noodles appreciation thread, not least. And that tractor firm too. I repeat that Raiola is a fantastic person, but in fairness we should appreciate anyone who is willing to make a penny from dealing with Manchester United.

I hope we are wise enough to renew Pogba and Lukaku in good time before their contracts run out, and don't leave it to the last year as usual. (Yes I am talking like we've already signed Lukaku.)

Then we'll truly see the true face of pizza-boy, the great deceiver.

He makes sure he and his clients are very well compensated, but he could do a little better with the fees we pay. Like, getting them lower.

Pogba was £25m too expensive, and Lukaku is too.

The guy is a swine.

Also, like somebody said, if he wants Lukaku to go to Chelsea, he will use us like this to get him there.

Also, this.
Just wait until its contract renewal time for Pogba/Lukaku...
That said, if I were a player, he'd be my agent too.

If a player wants to stay he'll stay. Raiola represented Nedved and we know how his career planned out.

Exactly. I'll never understand why people give agents like Raiola shit. They have two jobs/interests: maximise their own earnings like most people want and carry out their clients wishes.

Sometimes these interests will overlap with your club, sometimes not.

The amount of business Mou/United do with Raiola and nothing with Mendes is weird. Surely there is something wrong behind the scenes with Mendes and not just a conicidence

For every agent that does something to help a club, there's another two that are screwing some more. We've had over inflated transfers before where the agent gets a fair whack.

Wouldn't touch a Mendes player till there is more clarity on some of the tax evasion cases in Spain. That type of shit can really weigh a player down and it doesn't just go away by moving to England.

Yeah agreed. Like any other agency or "middle man" business, he's doing what's in his best interest. Whether or not the market/industry is regulated enough is a different matter altogether.

That being said, it's a bit weird to show the agent "appreciation", like the op does in this thread.

People hate him because he has a reputation of someone people should hate. I have no clue what it's based on though. The fact that Fergie didn't like him?

It's a shame he doesn't represent any good midfielders apart from Matuidi (& Pogba).
