How should someone from the south feel about Norn Iron's misfortune?

Empathise or have a sneaky laugh at them? Because I'm in the latter camp.

Had obligations, so seen just glimpses of the game, but from what I heard/read didn't miss much. Still somehow managed to catch one feck up from Lovren.

Great to be in Russia.

@Andycoleno9, @Ban, have you heard what Jelicic just said on tv?
Cro Fa got 200 mil kunas, in last 2 years, and most of the money they spent on traveling, bills, and some 48 mil on intelectual help. And then he said: "I know there is not to much intelect there, but it is too much money spent"
I fell of my chair laughing. He really wants them gone, doesn't he.

Man, you are quick. I changed it, but not fast enough.
I hope you are right, they can't be gone soon enough. Otherwise, I'm afraid if they stay, our fans will do something like they did against Check Republic (flares) in France last summer.

Heard that. Awful, criminal. Our league is in shambles, they're drowning in money and spend it on themselves. Šuker the most.

Have a bad feeling about Italy tomorrow, really hope they qualify, but I don't trust Ventura to put out the right formation or utilize the talent he has in the squad correctly. The fact that there are rumors about him starting with 3-5-2 again, and with Gabbiadini in the lineup just confirms that.

He's German.

They always lose to Italy at world cups regardless of form.
Spain, France and Brazil will likely be a threat, but South-Americans usually struggle in europe-hosted competitions.

France have the best collection of talent. Their manager is terrible. What is the chance of Changing the manager?

If by struggling you mean they don't win it, then yes. But South American teams (from the top of my head) made the final in 98, 90 and 58 so it's not like they cannot play well on European soil.

Having said that, I think Germany and Spain are top to bottom much better sides than both Brazil and Argentina right now. Brazil is at the mercy of which side of the bed Neymar wakes up from and Argentina is awful in midfield and at the back.

I would include France in the list, but I still feel that they lack an overall cohesiveness and a leader figure on the pitch. But on paper they are as strong as anyone.

All the Swiss players are as wasteful as each other.
Seferovic has long been a disappointment, squandering chances left & right - it will be at issue in Russia. That's why Drmic & Embolo need to be healthy because they cannot rely on Seferovic. Still, NI played well but still the Suisse had the majority of the best chances...and where was this NI team in the 1st leg incidentally?

Happy to see Embolo healthy again, he's more dangerous than Shaqiri. Akanji looks a terrific prospect, Basel just continues to produce great young talent each year. Lichtsteiner embarrassed himself with some terrible simulation and what has happened to Ricardo Rodrigue? Pitch was terrible as were the weather conditions but Northern Ireland looked more motivated to win the match. Xhaka, not as good as he thinks he is.

Rodriguez isnt as good as good as he was 2 years ago, Wolfsburg most have been laughing their assed off when someone came to pay 18 million. Milan thought they made bargain but it just shows in how much trouble they are in in every area including management.

For Embolo the most important part is too actually play at Schalke. Hasn’t set the world alight so far.

Argentina, yes. Brazil are so much better since their current coach came. They streamrolled the COMMEBOL and beated many of the top teams there. Most of their players are on top form; Alves, Jesus, Coutinho, Paulinho - not just Neymar. They IMO have the most threatening team. If they can keep their current form, they will probably be favourites in Russia.
I agree with your point on France. The manager IMO is the main problem. He just isn't getting the best out of their young talents and is setting them up the wrong way.

In 14 it was Neymar or bust. They now have Coutinho and Jesus who are players capable of winning a game. They have a top keeper in Ederson and Fernandinho is in the form of his life. Those are just the English based players.

They have probably the top three LBs in europe too, Very good CBs, Casemiro and pretty reliable back-ups. They simply have the best squad.

Well yes, the Swiss couldn't score in 180 mins either apart from a penalty that never was
Well they didn't have to because they had the lead and an away goal. It was about Northern Ireland taking the game to them and getting a goal.It shouldn't have been a penalty but it was given, they had plenty of time to respond but ultimately weren't good enough. Such a strange thing to say, you basically said they didn't score either except for the time they did ha..

Simple WUM'ing here. That's like saying it didn't matter when Henry's hand helped knock ROI out because ultimately France scored more goals. Ireland should have just scored more goals to prevent him from doing that. You're clearly the Matrix sequels' version of Morpheus. I'll be supporting ROI tonight, I hope for your sake they score over 180 minutes against a much poorer side than Switzerland.

Ederson has one cap to his name. Fernandinho is a bit redundant, since they already have Casemiro and infront of him Paulinho and Augusto have been playing the vast majority of minutes, both of them hardly mouth watering.
Coutinho and Jesus are good attacking players, but imho not world class.

Their designated XI is something like this afaik:

Alisson - Alves, Miranda, Silva/Marquinhos, Marcelo - Casemiro - Augusto, Paulinho - Coutinho, Jesus, Neymar

I think potential teams of Spain, France and Germany are at least as strong. Those three nations have such an incredible depth that their coaches can use the qualifiers to test a ton of players and formations while still stomping their groups.

It ain't wum'ing, it's simply not being good enough and I'm pointing out stupid comments sent to me. That's why I'm responding to you too. If Republic of Ireland don't go through because they don't score, it will be the same. I couldn't find a feck, it's all about United for me. It's funny you chatting about wum'ing and comment on a username, don't be posting me rubbish again.

Any less than 3-0 would be a failure this evening, but bigger the crash higher the chance calcio is rebooted and made more accountable or managerial instead of the emotional, rotten circus it is since WC 2006 and Calciopoli.
